Fensterbau Frontale 2026: willingness to invest remains
Back from the Fensterbau Frontale, positive feelings prevailed for Cees and Niels van Essen of Kruba. The two interacted with their presence at the stands of Urban, Thorwesten, Pertici and Graule. The most striking thing? “On day one of the fair, there were many more Dutch people than expected.” Together with Kruba, we look back on the fair in Nuremberg.

Whether there is an explanation for the high number of Dutch on day one? According to Cees and Niels, yes. “Many people had not gone to Polyclose in Ghent at the beginning of the year. And well, if you want to stay informed you look for other opportunities. And it was already known that just about everyone from the machine, fittings and profile systems area was there with a booth. So it paid off for the market to drive to Nuremberg. After all, you don't go there for just two visits. You also noticed this in the evening. Lots of parties. Lots of crowds. With good informal conversations. So in that sense, we can really conclude that in addition to discovering the innovations, the exhibition period was also a very good networking opportunity.’
Cees and Niels also continue to see the market's willingness to invest. “At the same time - and we have to be honest about this - there was also concern about developments in the Middle East, about energy prices and price increases.”

The main questions from the visitors included seamless welding. “People wanted to know how with the machines the end result was for the Dutch profile systems, in combination with the HVL or Straight-Slope Connection (Cube). Our answer was clear time and again: the quality of weldable strength is high. The angular compressive strength on all profile systems is achieved. In short, we can deliver the most technically stable solutions.” Furthermore, the non-visible parts of the profile are finished on a new finishing system, equipped with a multi-spindle drilling unit for drilling the corner hinge. They can then be placed automatically from the warehouse and screwed in place. “A good development.”
Many visitors also wondered if more automation is now coming from robotization. “Well, if you look after post-processing, as mentioned above, you can conclude that an additional robot is therefore not always necessary. The efficiency is already there.”

Furthermore, Thorwesten presented a new and improved version of the steel saw center that improved the speed of sawing. So is the stability of the saw. “This has to do with the Servo-controlled saw feed, so it is programmable for each type of profile. It can stand alone or be installed in combi with a sawing machining center. It is possible to expand the Thorwesten CNC machining center with a robot for placing and screwing the locking plates. This can then be automatically stacked .”
Cees and Niels concluded, “So the overall feeling about Fensterbau is good. That gives confidence for the future.”
