DUCO combines compact ventilation with robust burglary protection in the new DucoGrille Solid 20Z

Compact ventilation grilles that are both vandal-resistant and optionally offer RC2 resistance class: with the new DucoGrille Solid 20Z, DUCO addresses situations where ventilation, limited space, and security intersect. The robust Z-slat construction is available as a recessed grille, window grille, and surface-mounted grille, making a single grille family suitable for a wide range of building applications.

Especially in commercial projects where security plays a key role—such as data centers and technical buildings—ventilation and burglary resistance must go hand in hand. But this applies just as much to residential construction projects, where compact grilles are part of a smart and efficient ventilation strategy.

The DucoGrille Solid 20Z therefore combines a robust Z-slat construction with the ability to to manufacture any type of frame to resistance class RC2 thanks to a reinforced frame profile. This allows not only wall grilles but also window grilles to be designed to be burglar-resistant. Even in the RC2 version, airflow remains high, ensuring that security does not come at the expense of ventilation performance.

Compact when space is limited

The DucoGrille Solid 20Z also stands out for its compact design. Its shallow recessed or surface-mounted depth makes the grille suitable for situations where space is limited, such as when installed behind exterior blinds.

This means that a compact building design does not have to come at the expense of a robust ventilation solution.

Insect protection without additional netting

Practical applications were also taken into account in the design of the grille. The P1 perforation keeps insects out without the need for additional insect screen and complies with Dutch regulations regarding insect screens. When using P2, the grille is equipped with insect screen as standard.

One grid family, different construction scenarios

The DucoGrille Solid 20Z is available in various versions: as a recessed wall grille with a flange (G 20Z), a window grille (F 20Z), and a surface-mounted grille (M 20Z). For applications requiring extra security, the G++ 20Z, F++ 20Z, and M++ 20Z are also available with RC2 burglary resistance.

For the Dutch market, the DucoGrille Solid++ M20Z is also available with an optional PKVW certification (Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen), providing added peace of mind for those who take burglary prevention seriously.
