Deceuninck introduces new line of facade cladding Ligna

Deceuninck, producer of solutions for windows, doors and façade finishing, is expanding its range of façade cladding with Ligna, a new composite façade system developed for durable and low-maintenance façade finishing. The product combines wood fibers with plastic and offers architects and building professionals an alternative to traditional façade materials.

Two designs, one strong solution

Ligna was developed to give buildings a high-quality appearance while ensuring long-term performance. The system is available in two variants, each with its own character: Ligna Soft and Ligna Shadow. Ligna Soft consists of a co-extruded panel with a trapezoidal structure. Ligna Shadow is a tri-extruded panel with a rectangular structure.

Composite with wood fibers

The Ligna range is Deceuninck's most advanced cladding to date. The panels are produced via tri-extrusion technology, combining polyethylene (PE) with 100% FSC-certified wood fibers. The result is a strong and stable composite material designed for long-term outdoor use.

The protected composite top layer provides limited water absorption, which reduces expansion and the risk of deformation. An integrated expansion joint guarantees the long-term dimensional stability of the panels.

Light weight and easy to install

Ligna profiles are relatively lightweight and easy to process with standard tools. The system is compatible with various substructures, facilitating its application in a variety of construction projects.

Low-maintenance facade finish

Ligna composite profiles were developed with durability, ease of use and long life in mind. The profiles are robust and wear-resistant. They are UV, moisture and impact resistant. The surface does not crack or warp and retains its color.

Aesthetically, Ligna bets on a realistic wood look, thanks to its finely brushed top layer with a subtle line pattern. It combines the look of real wood with the resistance and low maintenance of composite material.

“With Ligna, we wanted to develop a facade cladding that meets contemporary expectations both aesthetically and technically,” says Chris Vynckier, Sales Manager Construction Profiles Benelux at Deceuninck. “Architects and building professionals want solutions that are durable, easy to install and have a natural look.”
