Forterro, a leading European provider of industrial software, today announced the planned acquisition of software specialist 3E, whose solutions are used in the design and production of windows and doors. The acquisition strengthens Forterro's capabilities for small industrial and specialty manufacturers in European SMEs and consolidates a category that Forterro has already actively built with recent acquisitions such as Orgadata, BM Group and Klaes. Completion of the transaction is expected in the second quarter.
3E enriches Forterro's existing software portfolio for specialty and industrial manufacturers with its extensive expertise in ERP, machine interfaces and production planning, specifically for PVC and wood processors. Together they can support customers even more effectively in the future: across materials such as wood, PVC and aluminum, at different growth stages and at any operational complexity - always using cloud- and AI-driven functionalities.

Upon completion of the transaction, 3E will be integrated into Forterro's solution area for specialty and industrial manufacturers. This business unit will be led by Bernd Hillbrands, Managing Director at Forterro and former CEO of Orgadata, which Forterro acquired in February 2025. Hillbrands’ leadership of this growing category underscores Forterro's success model of enabling founders to be successful within the group while helping shape its long-term direction. 3E customers benefit from ongoing product innovation and investment, particularly in AI, as well as expanded access to Forterro's broad portfolio of solutions for increasing efficiency and growth. In time, Forterro additionally plans to link 3E to its cloud- and AI-based platform.
