Sustainable system solutions and digitization take center stage

At Fensterbau Frontale 2026, Schüco showed how the company is responding to the major challenges in the construction industry. At the booth, which was divided into three clear themes - private residential construction, cross-material solutions and services - sustainability, digitalization and system integration were the focus. Julie Leirman, product manager Benelux, explained the most important innovations and developments.

Within the private housing segment, Schüco presented two distinct system lines. “We work with the Schüco LivIng and Schüco FocusIng systems that are more focused on renovation,” Leirman said. “The latter has a smaller installation depth, making it more applicable in existing construction.”

Within the Schüco LivIng family, automation in particular stands out. “With Schüco LivIngSlide, we have a completely electrically controlled system. The user no longer has to operate anything himself; everything runs automatically. That increases comfort considerably.”

There is also Schüco Perfect, where functionality and comfort come together with sun protection. “With Schüco Perfect, we integrate slats on the outside. With these, you can regulate sunlight and limit overheating in the home without sacrificing light.”

With the Schüco Connect platform, the company is committed to further supporting partners.

Schüco LivIng Accent

The most important introduction for the Dutch market, according to Leirman, is the Schüco LivIng Accent. “We already had an Accent profile in the 70 series, but now we are also bringing this into the LivIng family.”

The profile combines a modern look with a warm, wood-like look. “It refers to traditional wooden window frames, but with the advantages of plastic. Moreover, we offer a wide range of profiles, making almost any construction possible.”

Sustainability plays a major role. “The inner core can consist entirely of recycled material. By making that visible, we also underline the sustainable nature of the product.” In addition, bio-attributed PVC is used to further reduce the carbon footprint. Safety is also integrated. “We can include fall protection in these profiles, which means you add functional value in addition to aesthetics.”

Schüco FocusIngSlide

In addition to the LivIng systems, the Schüco FocusIngSlide lift-slide system was also presented. “This is a further development of the Schüco EasySlide,” Leirman said. “What makes it special is its slim design. Through a thin profiling you optically create an aluminum appearance.” The Schüco FocusIngSlide is particularly interesting for renovation projects. “The smaller installation depth makes it easier to use in existing situations, while maintaining a high level of energy performance.”

Environmental Calculator

Within the theme of cross-material solutions, the focus was on combining different materials and reducing environmental impact. “We look not only at our profiles, but also at glass and other components,” Leirman explains. “By optimizing throughout the chain, you can reduce the overall carbon footprint.”

An important step in this is the introduction of an Environmental Calculator. “With this, customers can gain insight into the carbon footprint of a specific element. You see how much primary material and how much recycled material has been used. That makes sustainability concrete and measurable.”

At Schüco, sustainability ambitions are high on the agenda.

Schüco Connect platform

The third theme at the booth was service and digitalization. An important part of the Schüco service offering is Schüco Connect. With the Schüco Connect platform, the company is betting on further support for partners. “We bundle all information in one place,” says Leirman. “From orders and delivery dates to complaint handling and marketing support.” Software also plays an important role in this. “We want our customers to be able to make optimal use of all available tools. By centralizing everything, we make work easier and more efficient.”

Integrated solutions

What stands out in Leirman's story is the strong connection between the various innovations. “It is no longer about individual products, but integrated solutions,” she states. According to her, that is exactly what the market demands. “Customers are looking for systems that combine comfort, sustainability and digitalization. With our solutions, we are responding to this.”
