A forward-looking strategy for extensive digitization in window and door construction

The triple acquisition is now complete. Last year, the European software company Forterro acquired the specialists at Orgadata, after which the ‘Forterro Windows & Doors’ division was also launched. A new milestone followed recently, as Klaes, the world’s leading software company for wood and PVC solutions in window and door construction, is now also part of the group. These steps are part of a well-thought-out, forward-looking strategy for the extensive digitization of window and door construction.

Targeted acquisitions

Since its founding in 2012, Forterro has grown into a leading software provider for the industry. “Through targeted acquisitions of several software companies, we have further expanded our operations in the window and door industry as well as in the facade construction sector,” says CEO Dean Forbes. “For example, the former BM Group has a strong presence in the British and Irish markets with specialized software solutions for residential construction. BM Group and Orgadata have been part of Forterro since last year, and in April 2026, the acquisition of Klaes—a true pioneer in the industry—was announced. This family-owned business from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler has grown from a one-man operation into a globally leading provider of software solutions for windows, doors, facades, and conservatories.
