Real Doors, based in Derbyshire, has built a reputation for designing and handcrafting custom front doors for discerning homeowners throughout the United Kingdom. The challenge 

For a manufacturer of high-quality front doors, appearance is only part of the story. Customers expect doors that will retain their clean lines, impeccable finish, and smooth operation for decades, despite constant exposure to rain, moisture, and fluctuating temperatures.

Real Doors needed a material that would eliminate the risk of swelling, shrinkage, and customer recalls, while at the same time providing complete confidence that every custom design would continue to perform exactly as intended. As Vaughan explains:

The solution

For the past seven years, Real Doors has relied on MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME (MTX) in thicknesses of 4 mm, 6 mm, and 18 mm for all of its high-quality front doors. MTX is used on the interior side of traditional doors, the exterior side of modern designs, and in specialized applications, including Crittall-style glazing bars, glass rebates, and decorative frames.
