Are today's times uncertain? They just might be. After all, commodity and energy prices are rising worldwide. Throughput in chains is sometimes under pressure. And, there is much more going on. Just turn on the news. According to Henk Weber and Didier Holslag of KUFA Raamsystemen from IJmuiden, the challenge in the window frame industry lies primarily in the labor market. "Nevertheless, we can be positive about that," the pair say. "Indeed, the window frame industry does not have to suffer from the tightness in the labor market at all."

Because, the solution is not that complicated. In fact, the answer to the quest for greater efficiency and profitability was initiated a year and a half ago with the introduction of the RenoS9000® profile.
Both Henk and Didier proclaimed back then "that the window frame of the century [would become] the new standard in Netherlands Renovation Land. And, they were right. But just now - in these more uncertain times with, moreover, a very tight labor market - the initial revolution surrounding the new window frame appears to have grown into a serious evolution: people are now simply working smarter in the chain.
"Most importantly, with this renovation profile, the installation time is drastically reduced," says Didier. "Of course, every project has its own characteristic features but just this week I was on site somewhere at a series of duplex houses. Where previously 4 days were needed, now only 2 days were needed to assemble everything with the same number of employees! In short, an unprecedented gain of time! And that is absolutely something every contractor in the country wants to hear because... he can reduce the pressure on the search for all those extra hands on site!"
"Although the relevance was already there, so the relevance - of this renovation profile - has become much greater due to market conditions," Henk continues. "We therefore keep emphasizing the advantages of this 'window frame of the century' over and over again."
"For example, the construction speed goes up on site, there is less waste, there is less breaking and demolition to be done, so the end customer - the private citizen - has less inconvenience. In addition, the insulation value is unprecedentedly high and actually - to be perfectly honest - there is hardly any competition on this type of profile. So there is a unique value in it," said the pair.
"Furthermore, the RenoS9000® a complete system with non-visible hinges (the eye wants something too!) and has SKG-2 burglar resistance status. And yes, this applies to both windows and doors," explained Didier."
Consequently, the two continue to see steady growth at their headquarters in IJmuiden. "We are literally experiencing an increase in orders of this renovation profile. Well, fair is fair: The Netherlands was and is a renovation country anyway, so the market remains, but when the labor market is tighter than ever, as a construction company or as a contractor you will still have to look for relevant solutions that yield a return. Well, the answer comes from IJmuiden. There we created the basis for the ongoing evolution in the window frame industry!"
