MACO's Protect M-TS motorized lock has won the prestigious German Innovation Award. Together with Instinct by MACO, the hardware specialist now has two award-winning door locking systems in its program.
The innovative functional principle (compression pressure via 3-day latch) makes the Protect M-TS, the first motorized lock with 3-day latch technology on the market, mechanical closing using the 3-day latch technology ensures perfect closure of the door before the motor locks. As a result, draughts and moisture have no chance and noise stays outside. Door manufacturers also benefit from the easy handling and upgrade their doors with the top product in terms of ease of use, smart home compatibility and access control. This also convinced the jury of the German Innovation Awards.
MACO's Protect M-TS door lock was chosen from 520 entries from 23 countries for the German Innovation Award in the category: 'Excellence in Business to Business - Building & Elements'. Josef Hölzl and Günter Bruckbauer, who played a leading role in the development of the motorized lock, accepted the award on behalf of the company: The award ceremony took place on May 14, 2024 in Berlin.
"This award confirms that we are on the right track," says an elated Robert Andexer, head of the Door & Smart Products business unit. "We are responding to the increasing digitalization of buildings with innovative, needs-based solutions, such as the motorized lock MACO Protect M-TS. Thus, we provide our customers with the necessary tools for installation-friendly, future-proof building elements."
Daniela Tiller, Head of Sales & Marketing, highlights another advantage: "The motorized Protect M-TS lock complements MACO's extensive door lock range: a small number of cleverly matched components offer modular and customized production possibilities. Manufacturers can therefore respond perfectly to local market requirements and individual customer wishes."
