Virtual greenhouse at the fair

Virtual greenhouse at the fair

Digitalization is today central to the organization of business processes. Klaes is a global leader in the development of innovative software solutions for manufacturers of windows, doors, curtain walls and conservatories.

The company from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Germany, again presented its extremely wide range of solutions at the recent BAU in Munich. Innovative software packages allow customers to digitize every aspect of business processes. Highlights at the fair were the Klaes 3D with an Augmented Reality solution for live presentations, ALUplus for aluminum window manufacturers and the Klaes TürDesigner.

Klaes 3D was originally developed 'only' for the production of elements for facades and conservatories in all kinds of materials, but today it is also used for the efficient realization of freestanding pergolas, terrace roofs, canopies, dormers, sliding systems in glass, railings and fences. At BAU, Klaes showed for the first time an Augmented Reality solution that should allow firms to "lifelike" complex elements during the sales phase. With this extremely simple but impressive tool, a salesperson can 'virtually' extend the home of potential customers with a conservatory or facade elements and simply display it on a tablet or smartphone. The customer can even move freely in the conservatory, view the nodes in detail and look out through the glass windows.

ALUplus
The supply in the industry is growing steadily, which is why Klaes also works continuously to expand the technical capabilities of the software. The classic solutions for the production of windows, especially premium, professional, vario and trade are also constantly being optimized. At the Munich trade fair, Klaes introduced a new solution for the production of aluminum windows. ALUplus was developed for those window manufacturers, who want to bundle the entire production process of aluminum windows in one software and like to combine it with other materials as well. Important aspects in the development were the special requirements in terms of technology and organization in the processing of aluminum and high efficiency in data maintenance. This software solution is already being tested with the first customers and will be available to everyone during 2019.

Klaes Türdesigner
With the Klaes TürDesigner, doors as well as window sashes can be produced in a very flexible way. All possible full leaf and frame constructions, if required, are worked out together with the windows and follow the same production process. In Munich, this software was also discovered by manufacturers from the glass processing sector, who want to use it to optimize the production of glass doors. There was also considerable interest from manufacturers of fire-resistant doors.

Klaes web
Klaes web is the digital bridge that many firms want to "build" from the local software to their customers and employees. The Klaes webshop (for end customers) and webtrade (for distributors) provide an easy connection to the Point of Sale. The projects can of course be imported into the local software and further processed there. With Klaes webtracking, both distributors and end customers can retrieve information about the status of their orders at any time, and via Klaes webbusiness, the company's own employees can collect important information about customers and projects - also mobile via smartphone.

Klaes DMS Integration
Another important theme at BAU was the digital management of the "paper mountain. Thanks to the intelligent Klaes DMS Integration, one can easily retrieve all archived documents and mails, as they are automatically filed and filtered by customer and project. Klaes even presented three different versions of this software, as the method of archiving can be adapted to the company.

BAU 2021
BAU in Munich was once again the meeting place for every professional in construction: architect, engineer as well as manufacturers and processors. With the expansion of the available space, the fair has only gained in importance. Klaes will certainly be there again in 2021.
