‘Those who collaborate today build tomorrow's facade’
On June 9, 2026 in Ede the Symposium Circular Facade Economy will take place. A symposium organized in part by the facade industry organizations for wooden, plastic and metal windows, doors and curtain walls, flat glass and hardware working together within the Circular Facade Economy Foundation.
For this symposium, all parties in the facade chain are welcome free of charge. From client to demolisher, from architect to manufacturer: every participant will gain insight into what circularity concretely means for their own role, risks, costs and opportunities. And more importantly, in how to build tomorrow's facade together today.
The facade industry is on the eve of a major change. The pressure on future-proof real estate, material security and new (European) regulations is increasing. Circularity offers the answer, but only if we do it together! This symposium is a starting moment for a sustainable, close and professional cooperation in the entire facade chain: with a common task, shared principles and new relationships to form connections.
On the initiative of the Circular Facade Economy, a lot of hard work has gone into the new NTA Circular Facades (Nederlandse Technische Afspraak, a type of standards document issued by NEN). The launch of this NTA takes place during this symposium and is an important foundation for the circular façade economy. But in addition there are more interesting topics and reasons for parties in the circular façade chain why you should not miss this symposium:
- practical examples and pitches with direct applicability; - insights into collaboration and innovation; - panel on the critical role of principals; - space to connect and build an industry-wide community.
