Closing sliding doors (not only) keep noise out

Review Fensterbau

At the well-attended Fensterbau Frontale, it was almost impossible to escape the noise around you. In this respect, the tightly closing HELM sliding door systems for wooden and glass sashes were right at home here. At the Woelm GmbH exhibition stand, visitors were able to come and look at this innovation, and above all listen. When open, a loud noise comes out of the sliding door, but once closed it is suddenly almost as quiet as a mouse.

Perfect sealing is made possible by a magnetic sealing system, which not only minimizes sound transmission but can also prevent heat loss - especially in bathroom partitions. Thanks to the ingenious design of the system, no additional special components such as door frames or junction boxes are required, which greatly simplifies installation and enables aesthetically pleasing integration into existing architecture or room layouts.

Another highlight at the booth was the HELM SmartTip, a combination soft-close and opening system for a wall niche door. It is integrated invisibly into the track. When closing, it gently slows the sliding door, pulls it slowly to its final position and holds it reliably in place. A slight pressure on the end allows the door to easily come out of the wall niche.

Accessibility and home automation have also been considered. New is a door system in which a motor is built into the top rail and a light tap on the front of the door is enough to open it and also close it again behind you. Ideal for people with walking aids, rollators or wheelchairs!
