As door requirements change, so do the requirements for a lock. The self (mechanical) locking of the lock contributes to the correct sealing of the door and thus prevents energy losses. In this respect, FUHR - a total supplier in the field of multi-point locks - is leading the way. "Our new multipoint lock series 835(P) Duo secure is based on the proven concept of the autosafe product series with automatic locking," says sales manager Michiel Hofman.
Thanks to the combination of Type 10 shots and swivel hooks, the autosafe 835 guarantees optimum safety when closing the door. "Using the new DuoSecure technology, the door is locked automatically/mechanically and reliably at multiple points," Hofman clarifies. Thanks to this version, the automatic multi-point locks are suitable for burglary protection according to EN 1627 up to RC 4."
With the autosafe 835 DuoSecure series, FUHR has a complete and rounded program in house, Hofman continues, "For example, with the autosafe 835P we also offer a version with an automatic panic multi-point locking in accordance with the EN179 and EN1125 standards. This makes us unique in the market."
"Another advantage is that you can always retrofit a motor to comfortably motorize the door via an access control system or an intercom system," says Hofman. "In addition, the 835 Series can be coupled with all of FUHR's Smart systems, but we can also easily communicate with third-party access control systems. In short, it is a completely unique program for the wooden, aluminum and plastic door industry. In which a big advantage is that the milling dimensions of the various versions are the same."
The mechanical version of the autosafe 835 or the 835P DuoSecure convinces with numerous optional expansion options. Hofman: "For example, by adding a SmartAccess receiver module, the door can be operated via the bluetooth of the smartphone. By opening the app or by touching an activation grid in the door or in the door handle, the door is opened via the bluetooth connection between the smartphone and the SmartAcces receiver module."
Earlier this year FUHR introduced, as an addition within the autosafe family, the 837(P). Hofman: "This is a crank-operated multi-point lock, where one can choose to operate the door single-sided or double-sided controlled. Like the 835(P) series, the lock is self-locking. Through an access extension system, the door handle can be coupled allowing the door to be opened via the handle. The lock operates via working current or quiescent current principle."
The autosafe 835 DuoSecure also offers significant advantages in terms of energy savings. Because the multi-point lock is continuously active, warping of the door is prevented and the door is continuously closed. "This keeps the heat in the house, conditioned air cannot escape and noise from outside is excluded," Hofman clarifies. "Thus, you enjoy a pleasant temperature and pay less for energy. For this reason, this automatic locking also offers the best conditions for meeting the requirements of density tests in terms of wind, water and air, and all that without post-locking."
