The impact of climate change is increasingly palpable. Long heat waves, rising temperatures and stricter building standards are forcing the construction industry to find innovative solutions. DUCO Ventilation & Sun Control is therefore bringing together leading experts at the seminar 'Climate impact and solutions against overheating' at the Naturalis museum in Leiden.
More and more homes and buildings are struggling with overheating, due in part to stricter insulation requirements. Traditional air conditioning solutions are not sustainable and consume a lot of energy. During this seminar, architects, installers, developers and policymakers will gain insight into How natural ventilation and shading contribute to a cool indoor environment without additional energy consumption.
The program brings a mix of scientific insights and hands-on solutions:
After the seminar, there will be room for networking. Meet fellow professionals and exchange ideas and experiences.
During the seminar, additional attention will be paid to DUCO Natural Cooling, an innovative solution that intelligently controls ventilation and shading based on temperature, CO₂ and solar radiation. This approach provides an energy-friendly way to cool buildings naturally, without using air conditioning.
The seminar will take place at Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Naturalis, Leiden. Participation is free, but registration is required. Visitors will receive exclusive insights, practical tools and a networking opportunity with construction and installation industry professionals.
