A fire and smoke door or an entrance door should always be closed correctly, and that is what the door closer is for, among other things. In certain situations, however, the door can slam loudly. This is often due to air pressure movements present in the rooms. The loud slamming of the door can be experienced as a major annoyance. Think of hotels, healthcare facilities, hospital rooms, office buildings and stairwells of flats and apartment complexes. 

GEZE has THE solution for these situations. The TS 5000 SoftClose has the power to allow the door to close in a controlled manner until the last moment in these tricky air pressure situations. The power of the TS 5000 SoftClose guarantees safe closing and the braking closing ensures quiet closing. Ideal for peace of mind (no noise pollution) and peace of mind (guaranteed closure) for hotel guests and care patients, for example.

Natural ventilation

There is much more to discover at the GEZE stand during Polyclose, by the way. The window systems from GEZE offer up-to-date solutions when it comes to a healthy indoor climate. Since we spend two thirds of our lives indoors, the quality of the indoor climate has a great influence on our well-being. Good ventilation is the key factor here. GEZE automated window systems not only enable smart and natural window ventilation. 

They also excel in comfort, user-friendliness and energy efficiency. In addition, the systems can be controlled electronically via CO₂- and/or temperature sensors. If, for example, in a classroom, the CO₂-content becomes too high, the system causes the windows to open automatically. It is even possible to link the window systems with the building management system. The bottom line is that windows can be opened as needed. Especially in this corona era, natural ventilation is essential for a healthy indoor climate in schools and office buildings, among others. At Polyclose, GEZE will show various natural ventilation solutions for both new construction and renovation projects.

Plenty to discover

In addition to window systems, GEZE is also putting on display during
Polyclose also highlights other solutions. GEZE has developed new free swing door closer concepts that find their application on interior entrance doors of apartments and care rooms, among others. In the upcoming new Dutch Building Code, it is mandatory to equip indoor entrance doors of homes with a smoke detector-controlled free swing door closer. 

This door closer poses no hindrance or resistance when used under normal conditions. It is activated only in the event of fire and thus ensures self-closing in the event of fire. The operation of this particular product will be demonstrated at the fair.

Attention is also paid to the Powerturn, the powerful automatic swing door operator from GEZE. Thanks to the unique Smart Swing technology, the powerhouse from GEZE also enables elderly people and small children to open doors of up to 600 kilograms with minimal effort.
