In 2020, Lecot acquired the company Biermans, resulting in a substantial expansion in the Dutch market in particular. Partly thanks to the addition of four sales offices and an even more extensive service and product range, Lecot Netherlands - like Belgium - can continue to develop into an omnichannel specialist for construction and industry. Lecot offers a suitable solution for every door function required. Whether mechanical locks, automatic locks, electronic locks or panic locks and including handle hinges, hinges, door closers, sealing profiles and draft closers:

total package, professionals are assured of one contact person, and one supplier for the complete door technology. Moreover, only one truck needs to make one trip to the project site.
This not only saves (transportation) costs, but also reduces CO₂-emissions reduced significantly.

Long-term relationships

To bring its services to the highest level, Lecot works together with an extensive network of product partners, with whom it likes to establish long-term relationships. One of these product partners is Dr. Hahn, with whom Lecot has been cooperating intensively and very pleasantly for more than 25 years. Dr. Hahn is one of the most innovative manufacturers of surface-mounted hinges, clamp hinges, concealed hinges and roller hinges for metal and plastic doors. Recently, the range of Dr. Hahn products has been expanded with three roller hinges for the Belgian and Dutch markets, catering to all wishes and requirements regarding sustainable, energy-neutral and airtight construction.

New roller conveyor hinges

There is a great need in the market for good roller conveyor hinges. Dr. Hahn is responding to this with the KT-RN, the KT-RV and the KT-R EN
Roller hinges for plastic interior and exterior doors. For the KT-RN, the fastening is in the sash overlap. 

As a result, the rubber frame is not interrupted and installation parties as well as end users are assured of a complete sealing of the door element. As a result, the maximum insulation values are maintained at all times. With the KT-RV, the fastening is behind the overlay (i.e. in the hardware groove). Both the KT-RN and KT-RV are strong enough for sash weights of up to 120 kg (for the two-piece hinge versions) and 160 kg (for the three-piece hinge versions). A godsend, as doors are becoming larger, heavier and thicker to meet energy performance requirements. 

In addition, the roller band hinges perfectly respond to the aesthetic wishes in the market. The hinges guarantee a slim and elegant appearance (22 mm) as they run along the frame. Maximum adjustability is thereby maintained. The hinges can be easily adjusted horizontally (+3/-3 mm), in height (+3/-1 mm) and in pressure (± 0.5 mm). Even after this adjustment, the hinges remain nicely aligned, with no risk of gap formation.

With the KT-R NL, Dr. Hahn also introduces a solution for typical outward-turning doors in the Dutch market. The 3-piece hinge is 140 mm high, has a roll diameter of only 22 mm and is fixed both in the hardware groove and in the overlap of the sash profile, ensuring high form stability. 

The hinge can also be fixed in such a way that the outer seal remains intact and the thermal insulation properties of the profile are retained. This also makes sustainable, energy-neutral and airtight construction possible here. The KT-R NL is suitable for all commonly used profile systems in the Netherlands.

In all RAL colors

Dr. Hahn's new KT-RN, the KT-RV and the KT-R NL roller conveyor hinges are made of extruded aluminum. On request, the hinges can be supplied in an anodized EV1 or in a RAL color of your choice. Because Lecot commissions a specialized partner to paint the hinges and all other visible parts (such as the lever handles) in one go, color differences are avoided. This also benefits the high quality aesthetics of the doors.
