The revolution in profile land was taking shape!
It is now a good tradition. For several years now, in the last issue of the year, together with KUFA Window Systems, we take a bird's eye view of the past 12 months. Didier Holslag and Henk Weber can be satisfied. The apotheosis of the development and production of "the window frame of the century", the RenoS9000®, may have been scheduled at the Construction Fair in February 2023, but in 2022, all the latest developments were finalized. And, the product was already introduced to the market!
Although the RenoS9000®-profile is still under development, KUFA Window Systems is starting the first projects in the Netherlands, in cooperation with various partners. Thus, Didier Holslag says that "Europe's narrowest profile has already found its way well into the market. Awareness of the existence of this profile is growing as the company can also report that partners are placing their first orders via Kufa Online Calculator (KOC).
Sustainability is high on the agenda at the IJmuiden manufacturer. "Environmental and climate-friendly thinking is in our genes," IJmuiden says. "Recycling and creating circular processes is an essential part of our strategy towards energy cost-saving measures. We think along with the green line of society."
By the way, Didier explains that this applies not only to the product groups that the IJmuiden-based company delivers to the market, but also to its own operations. "On our buildings there are already about 600 solar panels. We don't do that for nothing. On the contrary. After all, that too is where our social responsibility lies."
The labor shortage in the construction industry is becoming a serious problem. Nevertheless, the window frame industry does not really have to suffer that much, as far as KUFA Window Systems is concerned. The solution is quite simple: a renovation profile with drastically reduced assembly time. Once again, we are talking about the RenoS9000®. Not insignificantly, the KUFA twosome concludes in this year's third issue, "This profile has acquired SKG-2 burglar resistance status. Security above all else."
The communication and marketing of "the frame of the century" is in full swing. In this year's fourth issue, Henk Weber and Didier Holslag explain that with the RenoS9000®-profile are actually three pillars viz. sustainability (1), process improvements (2) and product improvements (3).
"Our mission is to make life more enjoyable for everyone in the window frame and profile industry," states Henk. "And, to be perfectly honest, I think we've succeeded quite nicely in that."
The hidden hinge is the theme of the autumn at KUFA Window Systems. Invisible also means really invisible. The company sees this fourth pillar - as a continuation of the previously mentioned three pillars (see July-September) - as a wonderful conclusion to a great and inspiring innovation process that led to the RenoS9000®-profile. "Several partners have already started using the new concealed hinge system 'InviKu®'," reports Didier. "But while we were doing all these latest developments, we also discovered the possibility of lowered sills. So, wheelchair-friendliness got a boost."
