SLS demonstrates a strong focus on finding solutions, particularly in the development of ready-to-install profile kits for the frames of energy-efficient passive house windows or system profiles featuring complex geometric cross-sections, functional hard-soft zones, or low-carbon materials.

At its headquarters in Dahn, the company manufactures solid, hollow-core, construction, and specialty profiles from materials such as PVC, PP, PS, PE, POM, SB, ASA, and ABS, as well as PVC foam and engineering blends. This is done in small and large production runs with per-meter weights ranging from 20 to 5,000 grams. In doing so, SLS routinely utilizes all relevant variants of modern extrusion technology, including co-, tri-, and post-co-extrusion. These processes require in-depth material knowledge and a high level of production expertise, but they make it possible to produce innovative and functional composite profiles from various engineering plastics with diverse properties. Furthermore, without compromising on quality, SLS can process a high proportion of recycled material—granules from recycling streams—and, if desired, also use CO₂-reduced thermoplastics such as bio-PVC or bio-PP.

Comprehensive support during and after production

In addition to its expertise in materials and production technology, SLS offers a wide range of services in the areas of pre- and post-production. Prior to production, the company’s specialists assist customers with material selection, design, engineering, and prototyping. After the profiles have been extruded, the client can take advantage of various additional services that alleviate the burden on their own value chain. These include fabrication, customization, and further processing of the profiles. In addition, SLS’s post-production offerings include storage capacity, customer-specific marking, the configuration of ready-to-assemble kits, and sales-oriented packaging of the profiles.
