DUCO presents DucoSun Cubic InsertFit, an aluminum sunshade with rectangular slats and invisible fixing designed for modern facades. The latest addition to the DucoSun range, it combines sleek design, structural performance and passive shading, serving both designers and installers.
With the increasing demands of energy regulations, summer thermal comfort is increasingly central. By reducing solar radiation through glazed surfaces, DucoSun Cubic InsertFit helps reduce summer overheating and sustainably improves the thermal and visual comfort of building occupants.
In addition to its functional role, the system highlights a sleek architectural appearance. Lamell spans of more than 5 m reduce the number of attachment points on the façade, while the snap-in finish profile completely hides all attachments from view.
As a bioclimatic solution, the DucoSun Cubic InsertFit fits into a broader environmental approach: the system consists for 75 % made of recycled aluminum and is completely recyclable.
The DucoSun Cubic InsertFit shading system adapts to a wide range of projects. Available in rectangular slat profiles of 200×48 mm and 300×48 mm, the system can be used as a frame or as horizontal or vertical slats, with adjustable spacing tailored to the shading needs and architectural expression.
The system consists of a slat profile, a snap-in finishing profile for invisible mounting, side end caps and - optionally - mounting brackets. The finish is available in Qualanod-certified anodizing or Qualicoat powder coating, in a wide choice of colors.
The InsertFit system is designed to each installation step at simplify and secure. Sliding the slats into the slat profile, combined with attachment to DUCO brackets or directly to existing supports (metal structures, curtain walls, etc.), makes the system suitable for all configurations.
The snap-in finishing profile plays a key role: thanks to its invisible fixings, it guarantees a homogeneous, tight finish without additional interventions.
The design, combined with large spans that minimize the number of attachment points, reduces handling, working at heights and the potential for errors and optimizes so the entire assembly process.
