How to close all the unwanted cracks and seams

To prevent air leaks in a building and the associated energy loss, properly sealed window frames are essential. HEBO's high-quality prefabricated window frames from Hengevelde, Twente, are ideally suited for airtight construction. "All the connection details of our plastic and wooden window frames are already pre-assembled in our factory, that is our strength," says director Norbert Kuipers.

When it comes to high-quality prefabricated window frames, HEBO has been a trusted name for 42 years. Once started with wooden window frames, the family business has also been producing plastic window frames since 2007. In the fall of 2020, the newest addition was inaugurated: an ultra-modern, dynamic showroom, complete with a real theater where the various window frames are presented.

"Also, our client can walk in with their end customers and use all our presentation tools. In the special living room with fireplace, visitors can lounge and it is possible to give BIM/VR presentations," says a proud Norbert Kuipers.

Integrated set frame

HEBO also has ideal solutions in the area of airtight and passive construction. This mainly involves sealing all the unwanted gaps and seams in a home in order to prevent annoying air currents and condensation.
prevent.

"Our precast window frames are ideally suited for this," Kuipers continues. "In developing our window frames, we have integrated the set frame and cavity lath into the product from the outset. All necessary elements, including dpc foil and lifting straps, are already pre-assembled to the frame in our factory, which is our strength. In this way, we have achieved a factory connection that is ideal for airtight construction. Then the prefabricated frames are delivered to the construction site almost completely finished, fitted with glass and all chosen accessories."

Low qv10 value

Large air leaks regularly occur at connections between window and door frames and facades. With HEBO's prefabricated window frames, it is possible to create a virtually gap-tight building.

"The pre-assembled connection details are equipped with O-rubber, which guarantees excellent airtightness of the window frames," Kuipers clarified.

"With our prefabricated window frames, we can guarantee good qv10 values. With this, our products also meet the increasingly stringent requirements in the area of airtight and passive construction, as articulated in the standard BENG (Nearly EnergyNeutral Buildings) in which the emphasis is on limiting energy needs. After all, the less energy a building loses through air leakage, the more favorable this is for energy performance. In short, with our prefabricated window frames, we are making an important contribution to energy-neutral buildings and making the construction sector more sustainable."

Modern craftsmanship

Even apart from energy performance requirements, Kuipers is convinced that the prefabricated construction method is the future: "Prefab is modern craftsmanship. In our factory, the wooden and plastic window frames are produced under ideal conditions; this contributes to the high quality of our products. Moreover, thanks to this method, we have full control over the connection details and airtightness of all our products. We even go a step further, namely by always carefully coordinating the application of connections for the various building systems with our customers, such as construction companies, concrete factories and timber frame construction companies. That partnership with our customers is a strong foundation of our company," he concludes.
