Optimal assembly service is further expanded to include door panels

"Besides a good product, the automation of processes, sound technical knowledge, sophisticated electronic know-how and optimal logistics, assembly knowledge plays an undeniable role," knows Marcel Bontjer, commercial director of Lecot. "Because you can make such a good window or door; if the assembly is not right, it is still a bad product for the end customer. With our Optimont (= optimal assembly) manual, we offer a manual for this as well."

Many frame manufacturers have their own experienced installation teams. In the majority of cases, however, outside assembly services are hired to install windows and doors. To support these installation teams in optimal installation, wholesaler of window, door and furniture hardware, tools, machinery, safety materials and hardware Lecot has developed the Optimont manual in cooperation with its product partners. 

This handbook accurately describes the process from work preparation and (internal and external) transportation to finishing and delivery in 11 steps. 

"With the handbook, we want to bring about more attention to uniformity and quality in installation, which will ultimately lead to a satisfied end customer and minimal failure costs," Bontjer said. 

"The Optimont handbook is intended for all sectors (wood, aluminum and PVC) and based on the latest construction techniques, comfort requirements and standards. In addition to the various products, installation guidelines and possible finishes, protections and cleaning agents, our knowledge around sustainability, energy efficiency and airtight construction is also shared in detail, right down to the application of electronic access solutions. In addition, we have added some useful tips."

Now also a wide range of door panels

The Optimont service will soon be expanded to include a wide range of Wipaco door panels, which are manufactured from the best aluminum. They are characterized by a very long service life and excellent value for money. The door panels are also virtually maintenance-free. 

"The range has a large number of model lines, ranging from classic to very modern," says Willem van den Aarssen, director of Wipaco. "In terms of breadth, moreover, the offer ranges from flat panels to wing-covered panels and door panels with glass, in various types, shapes and sizes, as well as Irox/RVS inset or imposed motifs. Matching aluminum front door handles are also available, in just as many types and sizes." 

The door panels for Lecot are delivered fully finished and painted, with customers having a choice of over 800 RAL colors. "In addition, matching letterplate notches and handles are already attached. This allows the door panels to be inserted directly into the plastic or aluminum frames. The result is a finished product that can be assembled immediately."

Focus on (technical) quality and appearance

Wipaco emerged in early 2020 from AMI BV, with which Lecot has had a long-standing and very close partnership. "AMI is a leading supplier of aluminum building hardware and industrials," says Van den Aarssen. "At Lecot's request, the production of aluminum door panels was added around 2010. For ten years the departments functioned side by side until a capacity problem arose. AMI then started restructuring the powder coating department, with the goal of achieving more capacity, space and efficiency. The production of the aluminum door panels was transferred to a new company, Wipaco, which can focus even better on the (new) wishes and requirements in the market. Not only with regard to quality and appearance, but also with regard to technical requirements such as high insulation values, optimal fire resistance and excellent soundproofing or damping. Lecot has kept up with this and remained a wholesaler for our door panels."
