Prevent wood rot on your window frames!

Replacing the woodwork in this case is the obvious solution, but is very time-consuming and costly, Bertjan Janssen van Doorn of Ventistone knows. His company came up with an effective and cost-efficient solution: a stone fiber sill profile that not only protects the window frames from the weather but also ventilates them. "Thanks to our sill profile, the vulnerable window frame parts are permanently protected and the maintenance interval is extended, without the risk of wood rot or paint defects."

The Ventistone sill profile is made of high-quality stone fiber, which is not only very durable, but also moisture-insensitive and low-maintenance.

The Ventistone sill profile is made of high-quality stone fiber, which is not only very durable, but also moisture-insensitive and
low maintenance. In addition, the material can be painted as attractively as wood, ensuring a uniform window frame appearance.

"The sill profile is vented onto the mullions," explains Janssen van Doorn. "By contour molding along the frame posts, joints are dried by a simple detail change. Special spacers combined with a vapor-permeable paint layer between the profile and frame guarantee optimum ventilation. As a result, the natural (low) wood moisture content is maintained and wood rot does not stand a chance."

For installation, you can rely on the innovative and patented Ventistone Click Adhesive; a special bonding spacer that guarantees fast and durable adhesion.

The Ventistone sill profile is mainly used in the renovation market. But the sill profile also offers advantages in new building situations (Concept III/IV frames). These include a low maintenance interval, excellent fire-retardant properties and an attractive appearance. "Together with our customers, we like to take stock of what measures are needed for the sustainable protection of their window frames," says Janssen van Doorn.

"The sill profiles are then delivered in standard lengths or custom/color as desired. A free Ventistone profile gauge offers painters, glaziers and the carpentry industry convenience, time savings and precision in measuring the profiles. For installation, they can also rely on our innovative and patented Ventistone Click adhesive; a special bonding spacer that guarantees fast and durable adhesion."
