With SlimSeries Outdoor, manufacturer and supplier Skantrae now carries the successful, minimalist style of the SlimSeries One and SlimSeries Ultra interior doors outdoors. The black narrow stiles and rods are perfectly matched and form one aesthetic whole.
The industrial trend in our country was created by a shortage of housing and surplus factories and schools. "These buildings were converted into living spaces, retaining original elements such as tall steel windows, brick walls, steel structures and even ceilings with ventilation pipes," says head of marketing Frank van Putten. "With the rise of the industrial trend, we also saw a rise in beautiful black steel doors. Skantrae has closely followed this trend and developed sleek wooden interior doors with narrow black stiles and rods that perfectly complement the industrial look and feel of living spaces."
SlimSeries One is a complete series of interior doors with narrow stiles of only 60 mm. In addition to the distinctive black glass doors in various designs, the series also features closed panel doors in black and white.
"Together, the doors form a pleasant contrast and fit in perfect harmony in any room," said Van Putten. "The doors can be used both as swing and sliding doors and are always delivered including a specially developed hardware package. This is necessary because standard locks and door handles do not fit the narrow styles."
Since the introduction of SlimSeries One in 2017, the SlimSeries range has been frequently expanded. For example, with SlimSeries Ultra which, thanks to the use of sliding and rebate systems, has a narrow style width of just 30 mm. "New to our range is SlimSeries Outdoor, which now allows residents to apply the unique style of SlimSeries to their back and patio doors," Van Putten says. "We have also developed an oak front door that blends seamlessly with the beautiful minimalist and industrial style of SlimSeries."
Whereas for interior doors extra narrow locks, rosettes with minimal diameter and beautiful handles and handles have been developed in-house, Skantrae has partnered with KFV for SlimSeries Outdoor hardware.
"Together we developed a narrow multi-point lock with a black faceplate that follows the minimalist style of the door," Van Putten said. "The security hardware has an extra narrow shield and is finished in stainless steel or black and, of course, equipped with cylinder pull security (SKG*** approved). The black and stainless steel hardware packages are completely balanced in design with the design of the door."
SlimSeries doors are always sold in combination with a hardware package, he emphasizes. "Even the drilling and milling is done in advance, which means that seamless integration, optimal security and high-quality appearance go perfectly hand-in-hand."
