Plastic window frame specialist HEPRO has been developing, manufacturing, supplying and installing high quality plastic window frames, doors and sliding doors for private homeowners, Home Owners Associations and housing associations for 20 years. The company has its headquarters, own factory and showroom in Zuidbroek, as well as a showroom and warehouse location in Hillegom, from where the plastic products are delivered to homes throughout the country. Assembly invariably takes place with our own skilled workers, says plastic window frame fitter Casper Ramp. "Here we work according to a pattern."
"Homeowners interested in plastic window frames can learn about our product variations, sizes, shapes and colors in our showrooms, as well as associated prices for production and installation," Ramp said. "After the quote is made and approved, one of our professionals visits the project site to ensure proper measurement. We then proceed to production. Approximately 8 to 10 weeks later, we can already install the plastic window frames."
Before assembly begins, the window frames are first measured, he says. "Then the old window frames are removed, the adjustment frames made and the new window frames assembled. In the process, all parts of the new window frames that are not directly needed for assembly are temporarily removed. The side of the frame is invariably fitted with a compressive cellular tape, which ensures an optimal connection between the façade and the new frame."
After the installation of the frame, the glazing is installed and further finishing takes place. The frame is then inspected and the homeowner is instructed on the use of the locks, for example, after which a service contract is concluded if desired. "We also recently followed this working method in Dordrecht, where we installed a HEPRO plastic front door frame with HEPRO front door and BUVA IsoStone fiberglass reinforced sill."
High insulation value, durable and strong
The door-frame combination was installed in the home of Sanne van Straalen, technical procurement officer for IsoStone sills at BUVA. "When my partner and I bought our home in 2016, we knew replacement of the wooden frames, windows and doors was coming," she says.
"In 2017, first of all, the windows and frames on the second floor were replaced. Completely in style with the neighbor's house, who chose a beautiful and practical plastic moving window whose both the tilt and turn window can be fully opened. Earlier this year we installed a new, plastic garage door, and last November we also addressed the front door-frame combination." And that was much needed. "The front door was sealing so badly that not only could we see out through the door, but we also had a lot of drafts in the house. If the wind was wrong, we could hear the door singing."
Aesthetically pleasing and comfortable
For the new door-frame combination, Van Straalen very deliberately chose the BUVA lower sill. "Among other things because of its high strength, favorable insulation value, high durability, optimum stability, resistance to wear and breakage and insensitivity to moisture," she says. "But also because of the maintenance-free nature of the product, which also applies to the plastic window frame as well as the plastic front door. To determine the right products for this project, I looked at the product brochures of various BUVA relatives, and a plastic front door with satin glass caught my eye. Not only does HEPRO's front door perfectly match the look of the first-floor garage door and windows, it also pairs very well with the BUVA IsoStone lower sill. Moreover, the new door-frame combination insulates extremely well. Even though the colder days have now set in, the house is still comfortably warm."
