The year started brilliantly for the industry: at BAU 2025 in Munich, window, door and facade manufacturers experienced five days full of innovations, exciting meetings and intensive technical discussions. One of the central focal points was the exhibition stand of software company Orgadata, provider of the leading software program Logikal.
Under the motto "we digitize together," Orgadata presented groundbreaking solutions for window, door and facade construction in hall C3, booth 135. The focus was on the digitization of processes, innovative technologies and direct exchange with experts. "BAU is always a highlight for us. An ideal opportunity to showcase our innovations and talk to customers, partners and interested parties," says Paul Thyssen of Orgadata.
At the fair, Orgadata placed a special emphasis on a new format: the master class on the Logikal MES production control system attracted great interest. Logikal MES digitizes, controls and optimizes processes in workshops, reduces effort and enables more efficient processes - a topic that moves the industry, as the high response to the master class impressively demonstrated. The concept: users reported first-hand on their experiences with Logikal MES. The master class offered not only exciting insights, but also plenty of room for questions, discussions and direct exchange with experts. "Our special thanks go to the users who shared their experiences so openly and honestly," says Thyssen.
Logikal MES specialists from eight companies shared their practical knowledge during the master class. One of them was Tobias Bunse from Iso-fensterbau GmbH. As a system administrator, he vividly described how smoothly the introduction of the production control system went in his company. In turn, Renee Herbst of Metallbau Herbst GmbH emphasized the paperless production possible with Logikal MES. He also quickly noticed that "with MES the processes run more smoothly" and that his company "has become significantly more structured.
One of the most experienced users of Logikal MES is AKV-Metallbau GmbH of Mannheim. "Digitizing the workshop is essential," said managing director Sebastian Busch. He praised the fact that Logikal MES brings the necessary data precisely to the workstations. "This allows our employees to make optimal use of the huge amounts of data from work orders." Busch also emphasized the efficiency improvements achieved through MES. The "carts and trays" module in particular has proven itself. "The system specifies a sorting system, which significantly reduces search times. For example, the correct glass slats can easily be assigned to the sashes."
In addition to Bunse, Herbst and Busch, other industry experts participating in the master class included Alexander Böhl (Hoffmann windows, doors, facades), Simon Ganz (Surber Metallbau AG), Malte Eschen (EBE Eschen Bauelemente), Josef Heisterkamp (Alubau Puhlmann) and Vera Söder (Söder Metallbau). Jörn Enk and Günther Sommer from Orgadata kicked off the master class. They explained how Logikal MES works and its advantages for the industry. Sommer summed it up succinctly: "Globalization makes the world smaller and smaller. But I have the impression that the journey from office to workplace is getting longer. On the contrary, Logikal MES ensures short lines through sophisticated communication."
