Novelties from heroal for shutters and blinds

Shutter and sun protection systems from heroal offer solutions tailored to every installation situation and requirement. At BAU 2025, heroal is presenting new, innovative products that offer convincing added values: with their high functionality, efficiency in production and assembly and high-quality design, they support heroal partners in the flexible realization of demanding projects.

New narrow rolling shutter slats

heroal has expanded its range of particularly narrow rolling shutter slats. With a large cover width of 52 mm, the Maxi roller shutter slat heroal RS 52 SW rolls up very tightly, allowing perfect integration into various surface-mounted box systems and small roller shutter boxes. In addition to excellent winding properties, heroal RS 52 SW convinces with high stability. The fine roller shutter slat heroal RS 37 SW also rolls up very tightly with a small roll-up diameter. With a cover width of 37 mm, the narrow rolling shutter slat heroal RS 37 SW is the ideal solution for situations where very small box dimensions and a minimalist look are required.

Additional applications for heroal shutter systems

heroal DRP (Driving Rain Proof) offers a platform of driving rain proof guide rails, available in several variants to meet different structural conditions. A combination with screen or hurdle doors of the system heroal IS is also possible. The guide rail heroal DRP is mounted on the frame of the window system and is certified up to 600 Pa. New design variants further expand the application possibilities. In addition to a guide rail with 40 mm distance from the frame, new distance profiles for individual additions of 10 mm and a combination profile for the integrated insect screen are now also available for heroal professionals.

With the new platform for corner bottom frames as a right- or left-hand application in the front or surface-mounted box, heroal supports the simple and high-quality assembly of heroal roller shutter systems. Due to the flush seal when the shutter is raised, the bottom-mounted corner provides an attractive appearance. The fixing geometry of the bottom profiles is designed so that the corner profile can be easily and efficiently fitted to the Mini and Maxi bottom profiles. And thanks to the well-thought-out construction, lateral displacement is also prevented. New to the range are an angle with an 11 mm projection for use with existing fall protection devices and two side glides for the bottom rail, which ensure that the shutter runs smoothly in the guide rail.

Durable solar motors for heroal shutter systems

It is possible to integrate into the shutter systems the Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline Solar and Somfy RS 100 Solar io motors, which run on solar energy, allowing the systems to be operated independently of the mains and thus making them particularly energy-efficient. On display for the first time at BAU was the Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline Solar solar motor controlled via a wireless hand or wall transmitter, which is also ideal for retrofitting. If the sun does not shine enough, the shutter can still operate for about 100 cycles. If desired, the roller shutter system can be combined with a solar-powered wireless wind and sun sensor to automatically raise or lower the armor in changing weather conditions. Thanks to the battery integrated into the motor, the solar motor offers valuable space savings, allowing optional integration of the heroal IS screen system into the shutter box.

New shading solutions in post-rail curtain walls

With the new shading system heroal VS Z CS, heroal has developed an effective solution for post-and-beam curtain walls that fits particularly harmoniously into the curtain wall and is easy to process and install. The heroal VS Z CS awning enables seamless semi-integration into the heroal C 50 aluminum curtain wall system or into post-and-beam curtain walls from other manufacturers. This allows architects and planners to meet the highest demands in terms of design and functionality. Also contributing to the aesthetic appearance of the façade is the view width of 25 mm, which offers exactly the same view width as the heroal C 50 curtain wall system when two guide rails are used. For maximum flexibility, heroal VS Z CS is also available as a surface-mounted version.

In order to respond even more flexibly to the specific requirements of different construction projects in project construction, heroal has expanded its range to include an exterior blind system. Thanks to stepless adjustment, the robust, weather-resistant aluminum slats provide a perfect balance between daylight, sun protection and privacy. The different panel and slat shapes and wide range of colors allow perfect coordination with the building's architecture. Electric control and automation options via wireless remote control, wall switch or integration into a smart home system provide convenient operation. Ideal for linear curtain walls such as heroal C 50 is the self-supporting, pre-assembled exterior blind heroal VB Free, which is supplied as a ready-to-use element with guide rails. As the box is not fixed to the curtain wall or masonry, heroal VB Free is suitable both for new construction and for subsequent integration into curtain walls. Also new to the range are the ready-made exterior blind elements heroal VB for shafts or as aluminum edge trim and the ready-made exterior blind heroal VB FM designed as an add-on element.
