During renovation projects, the question always arises whether the existing wooden window frames can be retained or must be replaced. Because the existing window frames are often still in good condition, the choice in many cases falls on preservation. One condition, however, is that extra attention be paid to connections and sills. With profiles, sill covers and nose rails made of pressed stone fiber, Ventistone offers a range of products that with only minimal detail modification lead to a durable and cost-saving solution.
The profiles, sill covers and nose slats developed in-house by Ventistone, founded in 2012, are ideally suited for renovation projects. But the inventions also offer plenty of advantages in new construction situations (Concept III/IV window frames). Such as low maintenance intervals, excellent fire retardant properties and a very attractive appearance. After all, the eye also wants something.
"Regardless of the nature of the project, together with our customers we meticulously map out what measures are needed to achieve the best sustainable protection for their window frames and thus prevent wood rot, among other things," said Bertjan Janssen van Doorn, owner of the Tiel family business together with his sisters.
The profiles provided with a water-based primer are distinguished by minimal action. In addition, the material is very easy to process, can be universally repainted and is extremely resistant to the changing weather conditions so characteristic of our climate. Moreover, the profiles are available in different colors of primer and, in addition to the standard lengths, the ultimate in customization is also provided, for example in the form of contoured profiles.
"However, the real advantage of these products lies in their durable nature," Janssen van Doorn emphasizes. "By using our profiles, sill covers and nose battens, replacement of facade elements is definitely a thing of the past. As a result, they fit perfectly into the sustainability efforts of governments and property owners."
Precision is at the heart of Ventistone's work, even when measuring profiles. In this context, the handy profile gauge (free
available from wholesalers listed at www.ventistone.nl or at info@ventistone.nl) a welcome tool. For every painter
and glazier.
"With this plastic ruler, universally usable for all types of nose laths, choosing the right nose lath becomes child's play," continues Janssen van Doorn. "By placing the profile gauge on the sill, you quickly and effortlessly determine the size of the required nose lath via the measurements on the ruler. It couldn't be easier."
Mounting the profiles is also peanuts, it turns out. For this, Ventistone offers the innovative patented Click Glue, a special bonding spacer. With it, fast and durable bonding can be achieved without significant effort. "The Click Adhesive ensures a durable, lasting attachment and optimal ventilation of the window frames and sills. At the same time, this tool puts an end to the mess of glue and screw holes," Janssen van Doorn concludes.
