For several decades, GND Garantiedeuren's warranty labels have been a familiar landmark on wooden doors in the Netherlands. What once began as a tool to obtain simple information about manufacturer, stability class, burglar resistance and the KOMO seal of approval, grew over the years into a unique and valued system that cleverly combined professional ease of use and valuable lifetime information. Last January, GND took the next step in door identification. With the introduction of a renewed and more compact guarantee label, the organization is aiming for more recognizability, even higher quality and future-proof information.

From cinemas to concert and conference halls, shopping centers, museums, hotels and libraries: to ensure that people can escape safely in the event of calamities, emergency and panic doors in public buildings are mandatory.

The housing shortage in the Netherlands is leading to a sharp increase in inner-city high-rise buildings, with buildings seeking the edges of their lots. This not only places new demands on wind and water tightness and fire safety, but also on the noise load on facades. Noise from, for example, road traffic, air traffic, train traffic and industry must be reduced to an acceptable level in order to ensure a healthy and pleasant living environment in accordance with the Building and Living Environment Decree (Bbl). Solarlux developed Soundline M for this purpose, which combines maximum sound insulation with maximum opening and easy cleaning from the inside.
