The Truien window production company ALU2+ is taking over its sector colleague Gudi from Erpe-Mere. After building a new production site in Brustem in 2022, ALU2+ is now strengthening its clout in Flanders. As a first step in its commercial strategy, ALU2+ is expanding its market position in East Flanders with the full acquisition of Gudi and its subsidiary Gudi Construct. All 25 employees of Gudi are also transferring to ALU2+. As a result, the window manufacturer now has 75 employees.
ALU2+'s reference list already includes projects in Limburg, Brabant, Antwerp and Brussels, but the company intends to be even closer to the customer. "ALU2+'s business plan combines several sales antennas in Flanders with a central and highly modern production unit in Brustem. This transaction with Gudi is a first step in that commercial action plan and will strengthen our anchoring in Flanders. Together with our new colleagues from Gudi, we will from now on also focus on sales, installation and after-sales service in East Flanders and the western part of Flemish Brabant. We are ready to increase our production capacity in Brustem," say Johan Cleeren and Chris Lowies, managers of ALU2+.
ALU2+ has an important market position in Limburg and Brabant as a producer and installer of aluminum windows and doors with profile systems from SAPA. From Brustem, ALU2+ will develop a shared services model that supports all branches administratively and logistically. To this end, ALU2+ previously invested in the computerization and automation of its processes. At its headquarters in Brustem, ALU2+ has housed its own machinery, production and engineering office in addition to offices and showroom.
The Gudi production site in Erpe-Mere will remain operational until further notice. The Gudi showroom in Zottegem will be incorporated into the Erpe-Mere site. Dirk Van Cauter and Gunther Van Goethem, the current managers of Gudi, will remain operational.
