Three different sill concepts
As one of the world market leaders in window, door and lift-slide hardware, MACO Benelux stands for, among other things, a comprehensive package of sill systems. These are quality solutions that provide customers with a customized service under the slogan "smart, fast and as desired. They also include the extensive range of lift-slide sills for wooden window and door frames.
MACO offers three different sill concepts: for inside and outside hung windows and doors as well as lift-slide systems. "The basis is always a sill with a dam ranging from 42 to 47 mm and a maximum length of 6.24 meters," says product manager Koen Vossers. "This allows us to meet any customer need. We supply a completely assembled sill, an assembly package or the individual parts."
Continuous product development is a matter of course at MACO Benelux. This is evident once again when we take a closer look at the lift-slide sills for wooden frames. The package is widely applicable for, among other things, the HS28mm concept, doors with triple glazing or a scheme E with three doors one behind the other.
"Our heat- and frost-resistant lift-slide sills are available from 140 to 240 millimeters," said Vossers. "The 28mm concept, consisting of our lift-slide sill, hardware and seal, has been extensively tried and tested for a wind and water tightness of no less than 600 Pascal. It is a score that ranks as the highest attainable in the lifting sash field and with which we reaffirm our drive for innovation."
Composing and ordering a sill? The ordering tool on the MACO website makes it child's play. Regardless of whether it is a completely assembled sill, a customized construction kit or a package that the customer assembles himself customer-specifically.
"Together with Groeneveld and Matrix Software, we have developed a module that allows you to import a profile design directly into our sill web tool," Vossers explains. "That saves a lot of time and reduces the chance of errors. It is a tool that has already amply proven itself and will eventually be available for our lift-slide sills as well. To be continued, in other words."
