Top hinges from Germany at Polyclose

German solidity at Polyclose in Belgium; this is how we may describe the presence of Breuer & Schmitz, a company from Solingen. The company specializing in hinges is taking part in this trade fair for the second time. Gijs-Bert Drost, account manager, is manning the booth with director Patrick Müller; the gentlemen are well prepared.

"We see our market in the Netherlands growing every year," Drost opens the conversation. "Our booth is therefore focused on the Dutch language. What are we showing there? Two showpieces from the Schmitz & Breuer stable, namely the new line of safety hinges Protect and the HiDe-3D concealed (blind) hinges. By participating in Polyclose, we are also trying to increase our market share in Belgium."

Blind 3D hinges

"The HiDe 3D hinges we introduced have been well received. These hinges have a very low installation depth and can therefore be used in various frame types," Drost explains. "The demand for blind hinges continues to increase and Breuer & Schmitz is happy to respond to this with its years of expertise."

Safety hinges without additional work

New for the Netherlands and on display at Polyclose are the 818 Protect hinges. "With this product line we offer a solution for practically every door. As standard, these hinges are equipped with maintenance-free sliding bearing technology, good for loads up to 150 kg, with three hinges. What is unique is that no hole needs to be drilled for a thief pin. Only an indentation is required. Because of the absence of the drill hole for a thief pin, you also don't suffer from paint residue in the drill hole."

Like all other hinges in the 818 series, this hinge is also Cradle-2-Cradle Bronze certified. "Unique is the width of the range. In addition to the 89 x 89 hinges, all other common sizes are also available. In addition, in addition to standard galvanized steel, all sizes are also available in stainless steel, GVC-R (Accoya proof) and in black. Since the three-piece knot and the characteristic BSW look remain unchanged, these hinges can be combined with all other models in the 818 series.
