Soudal acquires silicone plant from Momentive Performance Materials

The manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and PU foams, headquartered in Belgium and with 73 subsidiaries worldwide, is acquiring the Momentive Silicone Manufacturing Plant in Bergen op Zoom. 

The Momentive silicone plant employs 32 production workers and produces both acetoxy and neutral silicones for the construction industry. The site, with operational production facilities covering an area of 10,000 m², produces high-quality silicones. The know-how and experience of the employees fits perfectly with the global activities of the Soudal Group, which already operates ten mastic production sites around the world. This additional capacity will enable Soudal to follow the further sales growth of high-quality sealants.

Production activities at the Bergen op Zoom site remain unchanged and agreements are in place between Momentive and Soudal to maintain uninterrupted operations during the transition. Future investments are already being examined to optimize output and ensure smooth integration into the Soudal Group. The plant will be Soudal's 23rd production site worldwide.
