Schüco and Living Tomorrow join hands for an innovative future 

Sept. 15: opening to the general public 

Schüco, world leader in aluminum systems for windows, doors and facades, is co-initiator of Living Tomorrow, the renewed European innovation platform around living, working and living in the future. The collaboration aims to jointly innovate, inspire and co-create. Interested visitors will discover innovative solutions for tackling climate change, resource scarcity and energy transition, among others. Even a virtual 3D visit is possible.  ​ 

Schüco as co-initiator 

Within the Living Tomorrow innovation campus, located in Vilvoorde, visitors will be introduced to the latest innovations in living, working and life. Schüco is one of the 11 co-initiators of Living Tomorrow and is represented there with its own office. In the brand new building, some new Schüco products were used, such as the latest window, door and sliding systems, Building Skin Control, IoF (Internet of Facades) and noise-reducing window elements.

Cross-fertilization between innovation partners

In addition to the physically visitable demo spaces, there is also space among the partners to collaborate on innovative projects and concepts. Companies, start-ups, researchers, architects and other stakeholders come together to work on the future.

By cooperating with Living Tomorrow, Schüco can offer its partners numerous advantages in a central and versatile location in Belgium. This will give partners access to the latest innovations and working groups, including, for example, in the areas of marketing and project work. 

Focus on sustainability 

Unsurprisingly, sustainability is at the center in every sense of the word. The entire façade is equipped with sensors and the Schüco IoF ID (Internet of Façades), a smart tag on all façade elements so that a digital identity is generated via constant monitoring. This gives a better view on the maintenance cycle, and product upgrades are thus efficiently planned and executed. This ensures long-term sustainable operation of the building and also extends the life of the systems.
