Compact but powerful chain opener with a wide opening stroke

The specialist in window openers for top-hung, tilt and turn windows, domes and skylights, Teleflex, starts the new year well with the introduction of a new and very powerful electric window opener. With a maximum load of 500 N, the C50 chain opener is not only suitable for top-hung and bottom-hung windows, but also for skylights, which are regularly exposed to high(er) wind forces and gusts and also require a large(er) opening stroke.

"The C50 chain opener is a lot more powerful than other chain openers on the market," emphasizes Jesse Verheem, Operations Manager at Teleflex. "This makes the chain opener an excellent alternative to the well-known linear chain openers, which regularly pose functional as well as aesthetic challenges thanks to their vertical mounting method. After all, the linear opener often protrudes unattractively vertically into the room. Our new chain opener combats this and can be neatly concealed horizontally and against the frame profile."

High performance

Unique to the C50 chain opener are its high performance (maximum load: 500 N) combined with a wide opening stroke, he says. "Users have a choice of three chain lengths, of 60, 80 or 100 cm. Also striking is the compact design of the housing, which ranges from 40 x 55 x 811 mm (opening stroke: 60 cm) to 40 x 55 x 1,011 mm (opening stroke: 100 cm)." 

The C50 chain comes in the color aluminum. The chain itself is made of cast aluminum.

The C50 chain opener has a standard supply voltage of 24 Volts or 230 Volts. "The 24 Volt version has been successfully tested in accordance with NEN-EN12101-2 and is therefore also ideally suited for natural smoke and heat extraction," said Verheem. 

"On request, a synchronous version is also available, in which the chain openers are controlled synchronously. This is interesting, for example, with larger window sizes." 

For control, building owners have a choice of a simple Venetian blind switch on the wall, a radio remote control and/or Wi-Fi/app control via smartphone or tablet. "Integration into your own building management system is also possible." The C50 chain opener can be ordered as of this writing.

The company from Gelderland advises, supplies and assembles a wide range of mechanical and electrical window openers for opening windows, tilt and turn windows, skylights and domes. Impressive expansion

To continue providing customers with optimal service in the future, Teleflex's production department and product warehouse in Tiel are currently undergoing a major expansion. On December 9, the first pile of the expansion was drilled, says Verheem. "It was a special action, performed by our senior employee: Jaap." 

The nearly 1,000-square-meter expansion is slated to open before next summer.
