MACO Group acquires 100 percent shares of HAUTAU

German HAUTAU GmbH is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the MACO Group: the Austrian hardware manufacturer has taken over the remaining 25 percent of the shares of the sliding door specialist.

The MACO Group, based in Salzburg, and asset management company HAUTAU GmbH & Co KG ("VVG"), based in Helpsen, announce that VVG's 25 percent stake in HAUTAU GmbH, also based in Helpsen, has been sold and transferred to the MACO Group. As a result, the MACO Group now owns 100 percent of the shares in HAUTAU GmbH; 75 percent of the shares were already acquired in 2018 as part of a succession arrangement.

Together, the two traditional companies offer the largest product range in the industry: HAUTAU is, among other things, a specialist for high-quality sliding elements and window automation, thus complementing the versatile range of products and services offered by the Salzburg-based MACO Group. "The best possible fulfillment of customer and market needs is central to everything we do," emphasizes Guido Felix, CEO MACO Group. The motto is "everything from one source".

Close cooperation - remaining a conversation partner

With the 100% acquisition of HAUTAU, MACO Group continues its expansion path. Both hardware manufacturers were already working together for 2018. "Over the past five years, we have grown together and will continue to do so," Felix said. As a family business with a long history, HAUTAU is an excellent fit for the MACO Group: the shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation between Salzburg and Helpsen is a win-win situation for everyone - as customers in a large number of countries confirm. Examples of the close cooperation are the Move sliding hardware or a runner for lift-slide doors. This will soon be launched on the market. "We benefit from the long-standing expertise of HAUTAU employees at the Helpsen location and are pleased that we can continue to offer all employees a long-term perspective at the site," Felix explains. Management responsibilities and contacts at HAUTAU and MACO remain unchanged.
