Sills made of 100% fiberglass: they are the basis for perfect insulation values

With an extensive range of sills, glass and stop profiles and sealing profiles for wooden and plastic window frames, Venster Techniek contributes greatly to optimal living enjoyment. By listening carefully to the customer and accurately identifying market needs, the Zelhem-based manufacturer succeeds time and again in coming up with innovative and customer-specific solutions. The most current proof of this is the new VTD sill program made of fiberglass. During the upcoming HoutPro+ is scheduled for its official introduction.

Venster Techniek is an experienced manufacturer of sills for both wooden and plastic window frames. The high-quality sills for wooden window frames meet the highest requirements of the Building Code and are extensively tested for wind and water tightness. "In order to achieve a high-quality and reliable result, all products are manufactured and fully assembled in-house in detail and to size," says Herben Heino.

"For example, we prepare locking pots in the desired location so that the processor only has to assemble them. This results in greater convenience and significantly faster assembly."

Ultimate customization

The sills for plastic frames, developed for several leading profile manufacturers, also offer the ultimate in customization. Not only are they manufactured in close coordination with the customer, the burglar-resistant and extensively tested products are also characterized by outstanding wind and water tightness.

"One of our specialties is EEAL, the fiberglass-reinforced lower sill system," explains Heino. "Like the other profile variants, it meets the required maximum step height as prescribed in the Building Code. New to this sill is a double frame seal, also for double doors. A specific connection piece has been developed for the center connection of the double doors so that the seal fits neatly there."

Official launch

At Polyclose, the European trade fair for window, door, shading, façade and access technology, Venster Techniek recently presented a brand new product with the VTD sills. That official introduction will be repeated in stand 6201 during HoutPro+ 2022, which will take place from November 1 to 4 at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch.

"The VTD involves an expansion of the existing EEFD and EEFD+-program and will eventually replace it," said Heino. "Whereas the current sill program for wooden frames is made of aluminum and a combination of fiberglass and aluminum, respectively, the new VTD is a sill composed entirely of fiberglass."

Available in the versions Prestige (for the entire sill) and Excellent (hybrid version), Venster Techniek thus not only offers a more sustainable solution, this sill type also stands for significantly higher insulation values.

Fewer hoods, more opportunities

Where the VTD does not differ from the existing EEFD and EEFD in terms of dimensions and method of processing+-under sills, the launch of the new product is accompanied by two welcome product modifications. For example, the neutral of each VTD sill is finished in anthracite, a shade that provides more unity and style all around the profile fabrication. Furthermore, the introduction of the VTD is accompanied by the arrival of a number of other hood variants.

"In the case of the existing systems, we have a matching hood for each rebate variation," Heino continues. "That is not the case with this new system. For the VTD, we offer a select number of caps that allow more rebate variants. They are smart additions that can be quickly and easily positioned on any sill. In short: with fewer different materials, you can generate more solutions."
