When we close the door, we also want to keep everything out. Then we may first think of burglars, but there are many other things: moisture, cold, water, fire, dust, insects, noise. Comaglio has been developing and manufacturing lintels since 1976, which ensure that nothing gets under doors. In the meantime, the Italian company has built up a solid reputation. In the Benelux, All-Fix is responsible for the distribution of and technical support for Comaglio products.
Comaglio has been scoring high for years with its aesthetic, but above all functional drop sills with a sleek Italian design. Its history now goes back more than 40 years, when Aldo Comaglio started looking for a solution because his wife was constantly suffering from cold feet.
The first prototypes of the drop sills were made in his garage, and the first patents soon followed to protect this innovation. In the 1980s, the number of employees grew steadily, the company built a national sales network, and the products were shown at trade shows for the first time. For the first time there was also certification in terms of airtightness and noise reduction. The 1990s were marked by the move to a new site in Muscoline, Brescia and the international breakthrough, as well as the launch of competitive products at home and abroad.
For thirty years, All-Fix has specialized in the distribution of drop sills from the Italian company Comaglio: standard and customized. The range includes many innovative products and is continuously expanded.
Even since the turn of the century, the Italian manufacturer continues to invest in skilled employees, the automation of the production process and the expansion of the range. "Today, the wide product range can be divided into six series - Pressure, Basic, Special, No Sound, Comax and Universal -. and includes solutions for all types of doors: steel, aluminum, wood, plastic or glass.
There are the traditional drop thresholds, but also automatic drop thresholds with double sealing control, ideal in applications with irregular or sloping floors," says Maurice Vanderbist, founder and business manager of distributor All-Fix.
"The firm remains extremely driven in inventing, designing and producing new products and techniques.
In recent years, for example, they developed lintels for wooden, plastic and aluminum doors, which have a fire and smoke resistance of one hour as standard as well as sound attenuation of more than 54 dB. Last year Comaglio presented a new SoftCloser and at Polyclose the first systems with the patented "sliding" system were shown. This innovation ensures that the sash, mounted on sliding doors, carefully seals the sash, without weather bumping."

In the Benelux, All-Fix has been the loyal partner for distribution of systems and technical support for more than thirty years. "Service to the customer is central to us.
A large stock, fast delivery and expert technical support are our most important assets in this respect. We have a strong market position in Belgium, but in recent years we have also been focusing more and more on the Dutch market, for example with a specially developed latch bolt with a greater drop height of 20 instead of 18 mm," says Maurice Vanderbist.
"We provide standard solutions, but also distinguish ourselves in customization. Here we base ourselves on a profile drawing to first create a mold and then produce a trial model of the drop sill. After approval, production is initiated."
