From September 20 to 23, Messe Essen will be the meeting place for those looking for innovative products and solutions in security technology and services. Now that the measures by COVID-19 have subsided, the organizers can once again present a live edition of the international trade fair Security Essen. Professionals there can discover the innovations on the trade fair floor while participating in an extensive side program. During various forums, experts from the industry will go deeper into current challenges and solutions. Special theme days are also on the agenda for the future generation and visitors from the Benelux countries.
Security Essen has been the leading trade fair for civil security for more than 40 years and thus also the event for the exchange of knowledge. At the new Digital-Networking-Security Conference, which will be held in cooperation with the magazine 'kes' during the first two days of the trade fair, experts will give presentations on current points of interest, important links between business and IT security, legal regulations and practical examples.
The speakers of a total of 14 lectures delve deeper into various topics. The title of the seminar by author Thomas Köhler is clear: "Between cybercrime and cyberwar - why is cybersecurity an important issue for companies and organizations?
David Walkiewicz, director of Test Research at AV-TEST, talks about "DDOS attacks via IoT devices" and Alex Wyllie, founder and CEO of IT-Seal, on the topic of "Next Level Security Awareness Training.
Dr. Holger Kaschner of the German Cybersecurity Organization (DCSO Deutsche Cyber-Sicherheitsorganisation) will give participants tips on how to act decisively and correctly in the event of cyber attacks and Oliver Dehning, director of TeleTrusT AG Cloud Security, on the secure use of cloud applications.
During the Security Experts Forum in Hall 6, exhibitors will present and demonstrate the latest developments every day and inform visitors based on their extensive practical experience. Fire prevention and suppression will be the focus of the forum's 10 seminars on fire protection in cooperation with Essen's 'Haus der Technik', which will take place in Hall 7 on September 22 and 23. Dirk Aschenbrenner, commander of Dortmund Fire Department, will give an overview of new technologies, innovative products and developments in R&D in his presentation. Christian Liebezeit of m-c-quadrat focuses in his lecture on the use of drones for fire protection.
Security Essen can count on the interest and presence of many decision-makers, but several politicians will also be there. For example, Herbert Reul and Mona Neubaur, who are members of the government of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, have announced that they will visit the fair during the second day. Together with Security Essen, the Behörden- & CSO-Tag, an event for the security officer and Chief Security Officer of public institutions, will be organized for the first time. In cooperation with the BDSW - Bundesverband der Sicherheitswirtschaft - the Day of Training and Continuing Education (Tag der Aus- und Weiterbildung), an event for students, trainees and people continuing their education in the security industry, will take place on September 20.
Attendees can make valuable contacts and discover future areas of work. On Sept. 21, visitors from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg can network and participate in a trade-oriented forum during a special Benelux Day.
