Only smiling faces at Orgadata's booth. The software house deliberately chose to participate in this exceptional summer edition of Polyclose. The company thus contributed to making this event once again the meeting point for the industry, where people could exchange information or network. "It has never been so hot during this trade fair," jokes Sebastian Bode with a quip about the higher temperature due to the shift from January to August. The topic at Orgadata's booth was of course Logikal 12, the latest version of the digital all-rounder, but there was also a lot of focus on Logikal MES and the new product DataSafe.
Paul Thyssen hits the nail on the head: "The exchange of knowledge and networking opportunities are indeed advantages for exhibitors and visitors. I myself had several opportunities to start up new contacts and build on existing ones. Finally we could network again. The personal contacts were of a very high level. I am sure this would have been much less the case during a digital edition of the fair. We noticed that as a company we are very well known in the market with our software solutions. At booths of other exhibitors, our software was the focus of many a conversation and videos of our applications were also on display."
The Orgadata team presented version 12 of its well-known software there. After all, LogiKal is used daily by window manufacturers, door manufacturers and facade builders to plan and produce their products: from design over calculation, quotation, engineering and work preparation to intelligent machine control.
There was also attention for "Logikal MES" (Manufacturing Execution System) as an ideal extension to control, digitize and optimize production as well as for the completely new product Datasafe, which will be available soon.
With Datasafe, all production data from Logikal can be linked directly to a window, downloadable via a QR code and a password. In this way, all data are always immediately available and no time is lost in searching. This software solution supports CE marking and possible subsequent maintenance work and repairs.
"For example, if a window is broken, one no longer has to visit the customer to measure that window. Through the QR code, one can get all the information about the element, for example about the glazing, width or height and much more," Thyssen continued. "This is a huge asset for the long-term relationship with the customer. Our new development was therefore a real highlight at the fair."
As already indicated, the latest version of the well-known software was presented to visitors with Logikal 12. According to the Orgadata team, opinions were unanimously positive, with visitors speaking of "the new Logikal" and "the best version of Logikal ever. The software looks completely different, yet it immediately feels familiar to the user. Visually, this version resembles MS-Office and users are familiar with the way those programs work. According to Paul Thyssen, visitors were impressed by the completely new look and user-friendliness, and also liked the 3D visualizations and the new attachment drilling function.
'Logikal MES' (Manufacturing Execution System) is the ideal extension to control, digitize and optimize production, and this was also clearly highlighted at Polyclose. At each machine and individual workstation there is a screen, which shows exactly what is happening. In this way, the emphasis is on paperless production, the classic production documents are superfluous. Logikal MES also collects all data from that production process digitally, making everything available at the touch of a button. Applications in the area of CE marking and further required documentation can also be easily arranged in this way.
