Departure of general manager Bert van Lieshout

S2 hardware and Nauta Group hereby announce that managing director Bert van Lieshout, will leave the organization as of Jan. 1, 2023. 

Bert is one of the originators of the hardware brand S2 and has been involved in the development and positioning of the brand as technical director since the acquisition in 2007. As an independent part of the Nauta Group, S2 has grown in recent years into a strong hardware brand with a distinctive assortment and has acquired a nice position in the market. 

Bert van Lieshout: ,,For the past 16 years I and our team have been putting the S2 brand on the map with great pleasure and dedication. As icing on the cake, last year we said goodbye as an organization to the name Themans and continue as S2. We are proud that the market confirms the strength of the brand.

I confidently leave behind a great brand and a great team. S2 hardware is ready for the next phase and I am confident that this team will continue to build S2, always keeping creativity and the best for the carpentry industry at the forefront. In addition, I would of course like to thank all S2 colleagues and loyal customers for the support and fine cooperation and wish the team of S2 a lot of success."

Wybe Jan Nauta: ,,First of all I would like to thank Bert for the fine cooperation and his unique contribution to the growth and development of S2 hardware. I also wish Bert every success in his new challenge at Kegro Deuren. I am delighted that Bert, for the next 2 years, will continue to be involved part-time as a consultant in the innovations and technical developments of S2."

Wybe Jan Nauta, managing director Nauta Group, replaces Bert as managing director and will continue the business strategy in close cooperation with S2's newly appointed Management Team. Astrid Bugter, Jeffrey Luttenberg, Jelis Bijl and Patrick Kleinhuis are part of the Management Team.
