Dennis Gouka will be Xidoor's new CEO effective May 1

With the appointment of Dennis Gouka, Ralph van Dooren, the current CEO and co-owner of Xidoor, is stepping down after 27 years. Under his leadership, the company has been brought to the level it is at today. A group of companies, once started as Berkvens, with a turnover of € 150 million and some 850 employees. Achieved through organic growth and through the acquisition and integration of companies such as Svedex, Limburgia, Bod'or and KTM. Xidoor is market leader in the Benelux, a powerful and financially healthy family business where maximum investment is made in people and capital.

Specifically, this decision, already taken in the summer of 2019, means that Ralph van Dooren is handing over the day-to-day management of the group. He will remain on the Executive Board at least until the end of this year, however. This depends on the developments surrounding the Corona crisis. Afterwards, he will remain involved with Xidoor and the companies within the group in another role, yet to be defined.

As a group, Xidoor anticipates the changes in construction in the areas of industrialization, standardization, prefabrication, digitalization and sustainability/circularity. Central themes that drive this change and through which the group strategy must be clearly defined and, if necessary, adjusted in order to maintain its leading position in the market and achieve its growth ambition.

As of next May 1, Dennis Gouka will hold the role of CEO. Ralph van Dooren will accompany him and introduce him within the group. Dennis Gouka (52 years old) is married, father of three children and lives in Middelbeers. In his spare time he enjoys sports. As the son of the owner of a family business, where he gained his first work experience, the values of a family business are in his DNA.

In recent years, Dennis Gouka was managing director Northern Europe at Picot of France. A renowned manufacturer in the fencing industry. Before that he was managing director at Betafence and earlier he had a multifaceted international career within the CRH group for over 25 years. In his various (international) roles, he has faced a diverse pallet of challenges and achieved results.

In his role as CEO at Xidoor, he will also manage the 4e generation in the family business to guide and inspire further growth and development. The current position of the Xidoor Group is a good basis for further strategic developments and they look forward to the future as a family business with confidence.
