PIN codes can be changed or revoked at any time. In addition, administrators/residents can receive automatic push notifications (feedback messages) as soon as door activity is detected. SIEGENIA's digital access control systems (keypad, fingerprint scanner and transponder) combine smart convenience functions with elegant and sleek design, easy operation and secure access management. "SIEGENIA developed the keypad and fingerprint scanner specifically for Smart Home applications in private residential construction," said Dijkhof. "Major advantages of the keypad and finger scanner are comprehensive access registration, clear user management and sophisticated time control. Also, the color on the keypad/finger scanner is easy to adjust, thanks to 10 color LEDs. As a result, the technology blends seamlessly into the color scheme of the door and/or the architecture of the building." The digital access control systems also fetch high marks in processing and assembly. "The access control systems feature identical milling dimensions. Moreover, they can be easily and directly connected to the KFV motor lock, without the need for separate control units," said Dijkhof. "Uncomplicated wiring and unique plug-and-play plug connections guarantee effective and error-free installation. As desired, network connections for Smart-Home scenarios can be easily realized, such as integration of the front door into the alarm system. An I/O module also enables the control of third-party components."
