'Aluminum rolling gates and shutters offer much more than protection'

Aluminum roller gates and roller shutters are not only sturdy, durable and low-maintenance, they also reduce the risk of burglaries. Not for nothing do the products find eager demand among homeowners, retailers and hospitality owners. AVZ-Group also notices this.

Think, for example, of Alulux Resident rolling gates, Alulux Qompact (security) rolling gates and Alulux Qompact (security) rolling shutters, which are distinguished by German top quality."

Safely enclosed garages, carports or shelters

The Alulux Resident roller shutters are specially designed for the secure closure of large and non-insulated residential surfaces, such as garages, carports and canopies with a maximum width of 5.4 m and maximum height of 4.6 m. 

"The roll-up gates are constructed from highly stable roll-formed aluminum slats and fully comply with the latest (NEN) standards," said Van den Broek. "The slats CD 200 and CD 77 have a height of 55 or 79 mm respectively, a thickness of 14 or 19 mm and thus fully meet the set quality and safety requirements and therefore offer security. For example, the roll-up gate has fall protection as standard, which prevents the slats from free-falling in the event of an emergency. In addition, the roller gates are TÜV-approved."

"Optionally available are roller consoles with travel rollers, where the shaft is moved backward more or less when the roller door is opened. This ensures that the armor blade always has an ideal run-in, resulting in virtually noiseless operation. When the roller shutters are controlled remotely by a Somfy Rollixo io control system in combination with a smartphone, code keyboard or key switch, obstacle detection and run-up protection are also provided. As soon as the descending armor comes into contact with a person or obstacle it immediately stops and automatically retracts. Because the slats roll up in a compact box, a large ceiling installation is not necessary. In addition, installation does not require consideration of clearance in front of or behind the gate."

High stability and burglary resistance

For users who want higher stability and burglar resistance, the AVZ Group supplies Alulux Qompact roll-up doors. "At the basis of these rolling gates are single-walled extrusion slats with a variable setting. This means that the aluminum slats change shape for each selected number, allowing them to roll up very compactly. This also makes compact enclosures possible. For a rolling gate 4.40 m wide and 2.50 m high, a casing of only 205 mm is sufficient!" 

The system is made entirely of extruded aluminum and offers optimal protection against extreme weather conditions, Van den Broek says. Thanks to special safety guides (safety arrestors), optimum burglary protection is also guaranteed.

"The guides contain an additional chamber that holds the arresting screws and thus slats firmly in place, even when forced. Moreover, thanks to the cover, no screw holes are visible. Upon request, punched (perforated) slats are also available, which ensure perfect light and air permeability." 

For Alulux Qompact, the same operating safety features as for Alulux Resident also apply. As a result, Alulux Qompact also lends itself very well to the security of retail premises and catering establishments.

Also for window openings

For users who also want to secure and weatherproof their window openings, AVZ-Group offers Alulux's Qompact shutters. These shutters can be used both outdoors and indoors, where they can serve as burglar protection for windows and casements. Remarkable here is also the very small shutter box of only 16.5 cm, with a complete height of the element of 2.35 m. On request, the Qompact shutters can be extended with safety braking and they are equipped with Somfy motors as standard.
