The façade is often the business card of a home, and then a beautiful front door cannot be missing. With Frager doors, Harinck has stood for innovation, quality, diversity, durability and safety for 40 years. The latest models Florager and Vitrine respectively stand for green and personalized, two themes that are hot in our contemporary society. Another innovative front door will follow in the fall with a combination of copper, stone, brass, ceramic and wood in a patchwork.
At Harinck, they don't shy away from any challenge to serve their customers. Witness to this is the unique and revolutionary front door system Magnetude®, which works via magnetism and without bonding.
"In the run-up to Polyclose last year, we started developing two very special doors with which we wanted to respond to two themes that are close to many people's hearts today, namely the greening and cooling of the environment as well as the possibility of adding your own accent," says general manager Franck De Munster.
"Our Florager and Vitrine front and exterior doors were ready to shine at the fair, but it was then pushed back to the fall. We couldn't wait to introduce our latest developments. Therefore, customers can visit our showroom by appointment to learn about existing and new solutions in detail."
With the new Florager front door, Harinck is responding perfectly to the trend toward greening the environment. A rather remarkable project in that regard is that of the Facade Garden Brigade in Ghent. "That organization wants to use vegetation to help people cool down in the city. Therefore, stones along the façade are removed and replaced by plants. Of course, in an urban environment there is very little room for this, because a facade there consists mostly of window and door," the general manager notes.
"Therefore, our R&D department developed a door in Corten steel, which rusts naturally. However, it is also overgrown with ivy and other climbing plants that make their way along the door pull. In this way, we contribute to cooling the city and filtering particulate matter in the air."
Corona was not immediately the finest of times, but new ideas grew. Harinck then planted the seedling for the new Vitrine door. "We remember when people placed bears and other items in the window to provide connection with others on the street. We noticed how different those elements were. People like to distinguish themselves from others in some way," Franck De Munster points out.
"And we want to encourage that with our Display Case. After all, in this door there is an opening window that leads to a small display case, where residents can show something. We first tested that with our own employees and now it's up to the consumer to fill their Vitrine."
At Harinck, they are not sitting still. After all, the products presented today will no longer be new after the summer vacations. "So at Polyclose, we will turn out with another novelty," De Munster looks ahead. "We are working on a front door that uses different natural materials. Copper, stone, brass, ceramics and wood all come back in a patchwork. The models can only be realized thanks to our proven Magnitude system."
