Elegance or Parquet door, what are the differences?

At first glance, Eicq interior doors from the Elegance and Parquet door series do not differ from each other. They are both beautiful and very high quality oak interior doors available in different types of oak. Yet the distinction can still be found ...

First, an overview of the similarities. For example, both door types are veneered doors. Solid oak doors will irrevocably "work," even if they are riveted. The basis of both door types is formed by a special full chip core filling, the door body. This prevents warping of the interior doors. On this door body, the oak wood is veneered, in such a way that there is a very solid and durable construction.  

Furthermore, various similar finishing options are available in both series, and both are available in the usual standard sizes or as customization. Various glass frames are also available for both series (retro frame 4-pane in stainless steel, old silver, rust or black, a retro frame 6-pane in black and an oak 4-pane glass frame). 

But then, the differences: 

Eicq Elegance

• Veneer of 0.6 mm, always vertical;
• Always six vertical strips of equal width;
• Solid oak inlay strips serving the grooves (V-shaped);
• First choice, rustic or scratch;
• Available only as a blunt door.

Eicq Parquet Doors

• Veneer of 4 mm;
• Freedom in terms of layout number of strips, strip width and direction
• (horizontal, vertical or a combination);
• Choice of version with V-, U- or -shaped grooves or version without grooves;
• Veneer grades: extra rustic, rustic, bis or the first choice;
• Available as a obtuse or overlay door;
• Extra wide solid oak edge slats.
• Optional (in addition to the standard retro frame and wood glass frame) wooden or steel glass frames available in the desired layout
• (for example, 4-, 6- or 8-pane)

In short, the parquet door series offers considerably more possibilities than the Elegance series, but some consumers already find an interior door from the Elegance series perfect. In addition to the regular parquet doors, Eicq also has parquet doors beamwood and barnwood in its range. These are special versions of the parquet door both with their unique and specific properties and possibilities.
