"We color your profile!

The latest innovation in the film program is LIGNA, a film with a 100% silk-gloss wood grain texture that gives facade systems an authentic wood look. "Indeed, thanks to the film, the unique look of wood goes hand in hand with the convenience of plastic, such as high durability, minimal maintenance, high insulation values and excellent burglar resistance."

"Whether it is the renovation of a single home or a large new construction project in residential, commercial or industrial construction: we like to think along with architects, facade builders and end customers to select the best color films for their projects," Van Gorkom said. "In our factory in Zwaag, the (plastic) profiles from our sister company Select Windows and many other profile suppliers are treated to length. Here we use a fixed and efficient working method, in which the profiles including high-quality foils and in the order of the sawing machine are delivered to the processors."

Customization for each project

With the color films, ColorNed BV responds to the wishes of both plastic and aluminum window frame manufacturers, facade builders, architects and end customers. "Partly because of the short lead times in construction, profile extruders like to supply their profiles from stock," Van Gorkom knows. 

"This forced them to limit the number of profile colors to, for example, white, cream, dark green and anthracite gray. Otherwise, the warehouses would otherwise be bursting at the seams. By using our color films, including our warehouse function, they can still meet all customer requirements. Thus we close the gap between supply and demand. We glue the profiles in small series. For each project we provide customization, which means that we color the profiles only after they are sold." 

Besides the wide range of colors, the structure and glass degree of the films in particular contribute to high-quality aesthetics, he emphasizes. "This is because the dull lines of the plastic dies are perfectly masked. In addition, the films provide a more beautiful appearance for the window frame. Not for nothing do we regularly stick cream-colored foils on cream-colored profiles."
