From sleek and elegant to tough and robust. This is possible because Roval not only has extensive craftsmanship but also state-of-the-art production equipment. Roval's aluminum water struts are frequently found in residential and commercial buildings in both new construction and renovation projects.
The sophisticated range consists of several models, which are available with a flat or round front view. The models also vary in the size of the drainage angle of 5, 10 or 15 degrees. Depending on the type of water hammer, lengths can be supplied up to 6,000 millimeters.
As a total supplier, Roval Aluminium unburdens its customers. For the water layers, this total supplier status means, among other things, that they are supplied with machining and components. So if desired, including coupling plates, fixing holes, sealing rubbers, headers, mitre angles, anti-drum insulation and protective foil. The water stops are available in brushed, anodized or enamelled versions. Because of all the combination possibilities, hundreds of different models are available.
One of the unique features of Roval's aluminum water stops is that they are excellent to combine with exterior wall insulation and stucco. Mounting a water stop in combination with exterior wall insulation requires extra attention. Systems with exterior wall insulation are more than often finished with fine stucco or spachtelputz.
Leak streaks on these must be prevented at all times. The water drainage must therefore be perfectly controlled. This is why Roval has developed a special headboard. This headboard ensures a watertight connection of the water hammer to systems with exterior wall insulation. The headboard directs water away from the finishing layer. In addition to preventing leakage streaks, this also prevents cracking of the stucco or plaster due to residual moisture. In addition, the headboard has another functionality.
Aluminum has the property that it can expand and contract slightly under the influence of high and low temperatures, respectively. Because the aluminum water layers are often "sandwiched" between the day edges, this can lead to damage if no measures are taken. The aluminum headers prevent this. They ensure that the water hammer can expand and contract freely.
This is because they are mounted on the water stop with minimal play. Stainless steel clamping springs simply absorb the thermal expansion of the aluminum water stop. Roval's headboards have the additional advantage that the clever application of a drain piece eliminates the need for fixing with sealant at all. Roval's aluminum headboard ensures that the finishing layer does not have to be cleaned or repaired at a later stage. Sustainability and cost savings go hand in hand here.
Roval Aluminium has an extensive range of standard models, almost all of which can be produced in non-standard sizes. Inspirational examples of these models and of the often unique custom solutions can be found on the Roval Aluminium website.
