FAKRO offers a high-quality glass package for every residential need. These include requirements for insulation, safety, light transmission or soundproofing.

The main purpose of a skylight is to bring in as much natural light as possible. And to take advantage of the power of the sun in winter to naturally heat the room. In addition to light, the choice of window type naturally determines the atmosphere in the home. Living comfort is highly dependent on the type glazing. Each type of glass has its own characteristics.

Insulation

Renovating the house? Or remodeling the attic to make an extra bedroom or study? Then choose skylights with a good insulation value. This way you will have less trouble with cold and drafts. This makes the house feel more comfortable and you save energy. That's good for your wallet and the climate.

The standard U3 glass package has a thermo-insulating effect. It consists of HR++ glass. For those who want additional insulation and thus energy savings, FAKRO offers the U4 and U6 glass package. These glass packages have an insulation value well below 1.0 W/m²K. Namely 0.7 W/m²K and 0.5 W/m²K, respectively. Especially for passive construction, there is the U8 glass package with an insulation value of 0.3 W/m²K. Almost all FAKRO roof windows have an adjustable ventilation grid that ensures automatic exhaust of polluted air and supply of fresh air. This keeps the air in the house healthy.

For even more safety

FAKRO roof windows come standard with glazing that has a hardened outer pane. This makes this glass safe for use in a living area. Is there a need for extra safety? Then FAKRO offers safety glass. The P2 and P5 glass package has a laminated inner pane in addition to a toughened outer pane. The laminated film ensures that should the glass break, the glass is held together even better. This significantly reduces the chances of the glass falling inward. The P5 glass package offers safety glass as well as a higher insulation value and is therefore extra energy-saving.

Light and noise protection

For areas where less visibility is desired, such as a bathroom, FAKRO offers milk glass. This way you combine privacy with all the other high-quality features of FAKRO roof windows. Do you live on a busy road with a lot of noise pollution? Then extra soundproof glass offers a solution.
