With the recruitment of 30-year-old Bastiaan van Berkel, IJmuiden-based KUFA is taking another step towards further growth. With Bastiaan, the sales force will be enlarged but also the quality of advice to all partners and partners-in-waiting will receive an inspiring boost. "It seems like the penny is dropping in the market," say Henk Weber and Didier Holslag of KUFA. "Our online ordering and calculation system KOC (Kufa Online Calculation) is being used more and more often and is like the standard with a large part of our partners."

Stock, of course, also remains KUFA's great strength.

Convenience serves man, is the vision at the ambitious assembly plant. It is therefore Bastiaan's task to continuously bring that convenience to the attention of the partners. Bastiaan, who officially started on September 1 and has already gained considerable experience in the window frame and profile industry at Kozion in Eindhoven, is looking forward to making a difference.

The second production location in IJmuiden will open in the fall. Work is now in full swing on setting up and shaping the smart work logistics.'

"Not only am I looking forward to the internal cooperation with my colleague Thomas Weber with whom I will actually form a kind of tandem within Kufa , but I am also looking forward to all the conversations I will have in the market. By now, I myself am well versed in KOC and can answer practically any question. And speaking of convenience, you often see other packages offering courses that take up to 2 or 3 days. However, KOC is so smart and strategic that I can clearly explain the entire system in a maximum of 2 hours to partners who are working with it for the first time. People then understand. KOC was developed and built based on the partners' thoughts and working methods."

Henk and Didier confirm Bastiaan's story. "As a matter of fact, Bastiaan is the one from KUFA who is going to draw attention to the 'convenience' and advise. The expectations are therefore high. Of course, in this area the credo: to govern is to foresee. As it looks now, we are opening our second large production location in IJmuiden in the autumn, which will enable us to increase our production capacity considerably."

Automation at the highest level at KUFA.

"We were given the opportunity two and a half years ago to purchase a beautiful building with an area of about 3000m². We are now furnishing it where we naturally pay a lot of attention to smart logistics for our production processes. We are also taking robotization to the next level."

Bastiaan explains that KOC's ordering program therefore continues to evolve along with it. "After all, the product groups are also expanding all the time. And that was exactly one of the reasons why I decided to make the move to KUFA. After all, there is nothing better than being part of a company where innovation in thinking and doing is always high on the agenda. That progressive character ultimately also helps the partners achieve their ambitions!" ′
