Adhesive tapes are an indispensable tool in today's construction industry

Professionals in the construction industry use self-adhesive tapes for the most varied applications: bonding partitions, wall coverings and ceilings, installing decorative and other panels, fixing reinforcing profiles, assembling windows and doors, .... Thanks to high adhesive strength, very high initial adhesion and excellent resistance to cold shock, UV radiation, water and aging, the self-adhesive tapes from specialist tesa® are the ideal solution for many projects.

House of mirrors

For the construction of the "Mirage Gstaad" in Switzerland, various forms of mirrored composite panels were used with Alucobond® by tesa® assembled. Those panels are based on a strategic collaboration with 3A Composites and consist of securely bonded architectural panels on a substructure. For mounting the reinforcement profiles on the Alucobond® panels was self-adhesive tape 70200 from the ACXplus family from tesa® used. This revolutionary tape guarantees invisible and vibration-free installation of the panels.

New construction office

The new headquarters of construction company Cordeel in Temse stands out because of its impressive facade with glass sections and reflective panels, which, depending on time and weather conditions, always provide a varying look. This facade includes 5,500 m² of Alucobond® panels. For mounting reinforcing profiles on the composite panels, self-adhesive tape from the ACXplus family of tesa® used. This high-performance double-sided tape is a key component of the revolutionary facade system designed by Limeparts-Drooghmans.

Minimalist aluminum interior doors

Aliplast Aluminum Systems developed a slim and light system for swing and pivoting doors with the IDA concept. These are assembled in the workshop or on site, which is especially convenient for larger elements. For mounting the glass panels, Aliplast uses the tesa® 62520, a double-sided PE foam tape with a total thickness of 2000 µm, which consists of a highly conformable backing made of closed-cell PE foam and an acrylic adhesive with strong initial adhesion. This tape guarantees fast assembly of the glass panels. Uneven surfaces are leveled with the tape and, unlike liquid adhesives, there is no drying time or extra work to remove adhesive residues."
